The Unexpected

Chapter 8

"Got a little friend joining us don't we?" Said Alice.
"Yeah I noticed, acne is my norm"
"Try washing your face with this" Alice handed me face wash for acne.
"You use this two times a day morning and night"
"Thanks I'll try this"
"Now go wash up and we'll get you ready for tonight"
I took a shower and washed my face with the face wash.
I get out and put on a robe.
I walk out and sit in the same chair as last time.
Alice dries my hair with a hair dryer on low heat.
Once she finished she grabbed a straightener even though my hair is super straight anyways but she curls the middle of my hair to the end  with it to make it flow more.
"So how do you know Damon?"
"Haha well he was doing a music video and me and Tina were his stylist"
"For a boy?"
"Yes they put powder on, some have eyeliner, and hair done"
"Ooh so what did he get?"
"Haha I gelled his hair" Tina said while doing my nails.
"I did the powder and we both picked his outfit"
"Was he mean when you first met him?"
Tina sighed and said "no he was actually kind and funny, but this industry can make or break you"
"I can see that"
Alice finished my hair and moved onto makeup, just simple not a lot.
"So do you know where he's bringing me?"
"Haha no he wouldn't tell me or he thinks I will tell Tina"
"She can't keep a secret" Alice whispered in my ear.
"Hey I can to" Tina said, she must've herd us.
"Yeah right Tina remember the last time you couldn't keep your mouth shut right after I told you I was pregnant"
"Your pregnant?" I asked.
"I was, she's 1 now"
"Aww what's her name?"
"Ashley"
"That's cute"
"Thank you but no we have no idea all we both know is not too much makeup surprisingly his others have clown faces"
I laughed at that.
"But all we both know is comfortable but cute clothes"
"That helps a lot"
They both laughed and Alice said "all done now go change in these skinny jeans and white thin strap tank with this long gray cardigan and black combat boots.
I go to the bathroom and put it on.
I look into the mirror and wow I have never wore this form fitting tank in my life but it doesn't look too bad especially since I'm not super skinny but a decent weight.

I walk out and Alice and Tina said "amazing we did it again"
I laughed a bit.
"I like you better than the other girls"
"Thanks"
"He's down stairs waiting in his car so go on" Alice said.
I grabbed my purse with my phone and walk out.
"Tells us where he takes you I need to know" Tina called out while I was shutting the door.
I laughed and said "Will do so"
I walked out and got in his car.
"Hello Payson"
"Hi, so where are we going?"
"That's the first thing you say"
"Yeah I want to know and you didn't tell Alice or Tina"
"That's because Tina can't keep nothing and Alice would just tell her because Tina will annoy her until she breaks"
"Hahaha that's funny"
"There best friend they can't keep nothing hidden"
"But now you can tell me"
"Nah it's fun keeping  you guessing"
I sighed.
"You need to wear clothes like what your wearing it's form fitting"
Is that another insult? this must be his character.
"I like my clothes thank you very much"
"You just need to show yourself more like this, like your body is decent like your average, not fake"
Is that a compliment now, he's too confusing and maybe messing with my emotions?
"I guess, what does that mean?"
"Nothing never mind"
Ugh he's just confusing.
I looked at him he was in a white tee shirt, black ink from his tattoos showing and dark washed jeans with a black Bennie on his head with his dark brown hair coming out which all together looks really good.
"Stop starting at me" he smirked.
"I-I"
He laughed and said "I saw you from the corner of my eye, I know I look good but you don't have to stalk"
"Aren't we cocky, I wasn't stalking"
"Always cocky get used to it and yes you were"
"Cocky is not attractive and no I wasn't"
"Depends on the girl they find it attractive"
"Which ones ? the dirty ones" I said under my breath.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing"
"Yeah right but we're here so"
I look out and he parks the car.
I look over and we're at a carnival.
"Here wear these"
He hands me sun glasses again and I put them on and he does the same.
We get out and start walking towards the entrance.
"Carnival huh?"
"I love the carnival why not? especially by the beach"
"True but I have to admit I'm a chicken in rides"
"Haha I can change that"
I look at him kinda scared.
"Haha don't look scared I got you"
He put his arm around me while we are reaching more people.

We get in and order wrist bands.
"What ride first ?, we can start easy"
"Um you pick"
"Why me?"
"Because if I pick you'll say it's stupid"
"I will not"
I gave him the look yeah right.
"I'm serious I won't say it's stupid"
"Fine the carousel"
"Ok let's go"
"Thank you"
"The carousel stupid choice"
"What was that?"
"Nothing"
I herd him but I don't care he can deal with it. I love the carousel since I was a little girl so he can say what he wants.

We get there and I get on a brown horse with butterflies. Damon goes on a black and white horse with an eagle on the side next to me.
Afterwards it is Damon's turn to pick.
"So which ride are you taking me that I might not like?"
"Hmm" he smirked
Ugh oh spoke too soon.
"We can go on....follow me"
Ugh another surprise this one isn't good though.
He walks a bit and it's the ride that you go all the way up really high then it drops you down super fast.
"This?"
"Yup let's go"
"Ugh no"
"Common I'll be there if you need to hold my hand" He looks into my eyes but it's hard to see because of the sunglasses.
"Common you have to face this fear"
He ain't giving up, I guess I have to cave in.
"Fine I'll go"
He grabbed my hand and dragged me in line.

Once we got on my stomach drops.
I don't speak but inside my head I'm screaming 'help me'.
Damon grabbed my hand while the guy locks us in.
"Excuse me your going to have to both take off your sunglasses and sir your hat also"
I look at Damon with a worried expression.
He sighs let's go of my hand and takes them both off as I do the same.
"Damon young?" The man says
"Yes that's me" Damon replies.
"Oh my gosh after can I have a picture?"
"Sure I'd be happy to"
"Thank you so much"
Now we got everyone looking at us on the ride.
The ride starts and I'm just breathing in and out not looking down.
I feel a hand squeeze mine, I look over and it's Damon's. He smiles "you'll be fine just look at me"
I turned and looked into his green eyes.
I look at his features while we're moving up.
His hair is messy but still looks good, his face is soft, his lips plump. Smile beautiful.
I stair back in his eyes, he smiles "ready?"
"Wh-"
We drop down before I can say anything else my stomach drops.
We're done.
"All done see you can do it"
I nod and he let's go but I don't want him to let go. Wait what? Payson stop.
The guy comes and gets  us out.
I get the sun glasses back and hold Damon's things while he takes pictures with people.

After a while he comes back and grabs his things from my hands.
"I knew they would find out eventually"
"True"
"It's not a bad thing though so come on let's go"
He grabs my hand again and I get butterflies in my stomach.

We ride rides and eat good food. He can be fun and kind when he's not playing an image.

At the end it's 8:00 and he takes me on my favorite ride of all the fairs wheel.
We go at the top and I look out it's gorgeous.
"Have fun today?" Damon ask.
"I did actually"
"I didn't torture you too much on the rides?"
"Not too much but never again the upside down ones"
He laughs and says "oh it was entertaining watching you scream"
I gave him a look and he laughs more.
"No it wasn't" I cracked a smile.
"It was especially when you gripped my arm"
I cross my arms over the other and pout.
"Oh come on Payson you know I'm joking"
Who knows you insult and joke but I can tell the difference.
"Payson" he pokes my side I don't budge.
"Payson" he does both hands nope not budging.
"Payson don't make me" he whispers in my ear.
"Fine you asked for it" he smirks ugh oh.
He tickles me and bit and I laugh.
"Stop Damon were going to fall"
He stops and says "I wouldn't do that but it got you to budge"
I nod my head and just watch the scenery  while we finish up the ride.

Afterwards we leave and head home.

"This weekend do you wanna hang out?, instead of just dates we are going to have to be around more so the press knows it's for real" Damon asked.
"Yeah sure"
"At around noon on Saturday?"
"Sounds good"
He nods and says "I'll pick you up then"
"Alright thanks again Damon"
"Don't thank me, thank you for agreeing to this"
I nod and get out and shut the door to his car and go in my apartment tired as heck.
