The Unexpected

Chapter 24

"Payson"
I turn over. I think I hear something.
"Payson"
I open my eyes a bit and look over and see Damon.
"It's time to get up, we're here"
I sit up and look around me.
We're still in the tour bus. I must have fallen asleep.
"We're are we?"
"We're in my home town"
I look out the window and see palm trees and the blue ocean, it's Paradise.
"Wow"
"Have you never been to Florida?"
"No but I've always wanted to"
"Well We're staying four days I'll have to take you on a tour"
I smile at him and he smiles back.
We pull up to a decent size house, not a mansion but a big house.
The house is white and It's on the beach with a big porch and even little balconies on the second floor.

"Come on" Damon puts his hand out towards me and I grab it.
We walk out of the bus and I see Carter getting out of his tour bus.
We walk to the door and the door opens.
A women comes out who has straight black hair with some grays, she's tall but not to tall, slender and looks good for her age.
"Honey I'm so glad your here" she says.
Damon let's go and hugs his mom and then she goes to Carter.
"Hey miss. Y"
"Carter"
Then she turns towards me.
"You must be Payson"
I nod.
"I'm Ariana" she comes in and hugs me instead of shaking my hand.
"I'm Payson" I say while hugging her. She smells good like roses.
She lets go and says "come on you guys have got to be tired"
We walk in and wow this looks like a beach house.
Very ocean vibes.
"Damon, Carter show Payson around, and Damon I have your room for you and Payson, Carter you can have the guest room" .
Ok maybe there's a couch I can sleep on in his room.
"This way" Damon said grabbing my hand and leads me to the living room.
There was a brown couch with a flat screen and I see pictures around.
"Is this little Damon and Carter?"I walk to the picture with Damon behind me. I point to two little boys smiling with a baseball cap and gloves.
"That's was when we  were in baseball at 10" Carter told me.
"That's cute"
I look and see Carter and Damon graduation picture.
"Wow so you guys were together since kids"
"Yeah we are inseparable"
I smile and Damon says "come on next room"
We walk into the kitchen. It's got gray countertops, white cabinets and stainless steel appliances.
It's very nice.
We keep going to the outside which has a board walk to the beach which wow I wish I could've lived here, I could've escaped to the beach from  my dad.

We walk upstairs and I see the bathroom which is very beach vibes with photos, with the soap pump which is a dolphin, the shower curtain is bright and has sea shells, star fish and she has sea shells around the bathroom.

We next go to the guest room which is very simple. A bed, a medium size closet, and a desk, with a dresser.

Then lastly is Damon's room which is white walls, no couch just his bed.... great, a walk in closet, a dresser and a tv, with a bathroom and a balcony looking over the beach.

It is a nice house.

We go down stairs and Damon's mom Ariana is in the kitchen cooking.
"Why don't you guys wash up and dinner will be done soon"
We grab our luggage and put it in the rooms.
"You can shower first if you want" Damon told me.
I nod and grab some leggings with a tee shirt and my toiletries bag and my undergarments.

I go into the walk in bathroom. It's very similar to the main bathroom, the only difference is the soap container is just gray with sea shells and the shower curtain is just gray.
I turn on the shower and I lock the door.
I wash myself and then get out and get dressed, brush my hair and then unlock the door and see Damon on his bed watching tv.

He looks towards me and smiles.
"Come" he tells me.
I sit on the edge while he's laying.
"You don't need to be scared Payson"
"I'm not"
He chuckles a bit and sits up.
" Payson you don't have to be distant relax I'm not going to do anything to you"
"I know" is all I can say.
He shakes his head and gets up and goes to his bathroom.
I put my things away and just sit on his bed with my phone.
