Chapter 31

"Payson"
I turn over.
"Payson"

Is someone in my room? Or am I dreaming?

I turn over again and open a bit of my eyes.

I screamed.
There's a face right there.
I sit up and I hear Damon?
"Shh Payson it's me"
"Damon? What the heck are you doing?"
"Waking you up"
"Why?"
"Because come on"
"What?"
"Come on, get in your swim suit, and meet me down stairs"
I look at him confused, but he probably can't see me because it's dark.
"Are you crazy, it's 1 A.m. and it's dark"
"Come on Payson have an adventure"
I sigh "fine I'll meet you down stairs"
"Great" he walks out shutting the door.
I get up, still sleepy.
I get up and go to my drawer and get out my black bottoms and red top.
I change and put on a pair of sweat pants and tank top.
It's been  one month past and me and Damon are doing pretty good and I've forgiven him from being late and we are closer than ever.

We've talked more of our past which how I had to get away from my dad after high school and how his dad left his mom and he was the man of the house and Carter helped him and they both are like brothers.

I've grown more and more feelings for him even though things will be ending soon.

Taylor finally figured it out once we hung out but I was denying it but eventually I did take a self examination and she's right.

I'm starting to fall for him.
But I know once this is done, I just get to go back to before.

I finish dressing and head down stairs and meet Damon in the living room.

"I'm here" I say.
He turns around and smiles.
"Let's go"
I look at him still confused as to what we're doing.
I follow him to the back yard.

Why the back yard?

He goes to the pool and he jumps in.

I stand there so confused.

He comes up and says "come on"
"This is why you woke me up?"
He smiles and says "yup"
"Why?"
"Come on Payson night swimming is the best"
I sigh and sit on the edge of the pool and pull my sweat pants legs up and put my toes in.

It's warmer than the night air.
Damon comes up by me.
"If you don't come in I'll pull you in with your clothes"
I sigh.
"Don't make me"
"Turn around"
"Your wearing a swim suit under it's not like your Naked, unless you are?" He smirks.
"Nasty no"
He laughs and turns around.
I sigh and stand up and take off my sweat pants and I sit back down and take my tank top off.
I'm just in my swim suit and I sit in the same spot and say "your good"
He turns around and smiles.
"Your so beautiful Payson"
"Your just saying that"
"Not this time"
I swallow and breathe.
He comes in between me.
My breath quickens.
"If you don't come in I'll get you in"
I can't speak and he grabs my waist but this time it's my skin not a dress or shirt or no people and just is two.
He picks me up and gently places me in the water.
It's warm.
I keep looking at him, I'm frozen, I don't know what to do.
"I like you Payson, I don't know how or why but you are so beautiful, gorgeous, strong and just all together amazing"
"I like you to Damon" words came out softly, his touch still on me.
"Can I kiss you?"
I nod, not being able to speak.
He leans down and our lips connect.
There soft, delicate.
My arms go around his neck and my legs so around his waist.
I can't think, all my mind is saying "no" but my heart is saying "yes".
"Your so gorgeous"
He says between kisses.
"And beautiful"
We pull away breathing heavily.
Eventually he pulls away and says "come on"
I swim next to him by the water fall he has.
He motions for me to come behind it.
I do and it's so cool he has colorful lights and there's a rock to sit on.
"This is so cool"
He smiles at me and splashes me.
My mouth open "really?"
He laughs and I do it back to him.
"Oh really?"
I laugh and swim away quickly.
He grabs me from behind and kisses my cheek and then my shoulder.
He turns me around and kisses me again.

We let go eventually and he says "Payson do you feel the same way?"
I do but I don't want to because we both know how this will end.
I nod and he says "say it Payson out loud"
I breathe and then say "yes Damon I do feel the same"
He smiles and peaks my lips and then I here and voice.
"Damon" I turn around.
Who the heck is this?
I look at Damon and his face is shocked.
"What are you doing here Ashley?"
Ashley who is she?
"I need to tell you something"
She looks not like me at all.
She looks like she would hook up, wait is this Damon's hook up?
Wait how long? Well before me duh but during me?
I'm so confused now.
He let's go of me and says
"Wait here, please" his eyes are wanting me to wait I nod and he gets out and dries himself off and they both go in.

I get out of the pool and dry myself off and sit on the lawn chair.

I look in and see Damon and apparently Ashley?
He looks stressed.
I am so confused, what is happening?, did all he say was just an insult?, a joke?, just a fling?.
If so I feel so stupid, I'm such an idiot.
I should've known.
I tear up and then I try to dry it up fast.
No Payson you can't cry right now, be strong.
I sigh and just sit here and wait.
