Do you take thee
My fair beloved, the clearest sight
I have, as we stand beneath
The end of the world
Laced by the howling wind
The ground splintering apart
All that is left to do
Is love each other and die
Do you take thee
When the hour is almost up
Like an arrow through the storm
The first chimes begin to toll
I see in your eyes the same fear
That rolls throughout me
Terror as a witness
To the ending of time
Do you take thee
The sixth chime
Stars break off and shower to earth
Seas foam, agonize, devour
What are but dust
Those great merry calamities
The ninth chime
Yes, in sickness and in health
Till death
We can't help but smile, giddy
We will live to see the world die
The eleventh chime
So is it done
I look at you again
The last thing I can know
Or hope to sense somehow
As the next chime
