Chapter 31.1 Ready Part 1

While rubbing his trembling hands, Jin was pacing back and forth in front of his laptop and a projector screen. He was wearing a white long sleeve polo under a Thom Browne cream-colored suit jacket and black trousers. His ash brown bangs fell perfectly over his forehead, giving him soft attractive features.

"I'm so nervous, Jungkook."

His boyfriend, who was wearing a classic Thom Browne black suite and sporting a handsome side swept bangs, approached Jin and pulled his waist towards him. "Relax, babe, you will be doing great," he said as he showered Jin with tender kisses all over his face.

"Hey, my face is wet with your saliva." Jin pouted.

Jungkook chuckled at his boyfriend's cuteness. "Those are good little luck charms and..." He captured Jin into a brief steamy hot kiss making the latter flushed in pink hues, "...this is to ensure success."

It was the most awaited day of presentation to the board of directors and shareholders. Jungkook and Jin were inside the conference room, waiting for the arrival of the most important people in Jeon's corporation.

One by one, intimidating faces entered the room which made Jin feel more anxious. Jungkook massaged his hands and beamed his wide bunny smile to assure him that everything is going to be fine. "I'll back you up, don't worry!"

Two faces who have similar features as that of Jungkook arrived at the scene. The important people who went inside earlier, stood up and bowed with so much respect. These two individuals, a man and woman, advanced towards them and made Jin flinched with overflowing nervousness. The woman leaned to kiss Jungkook on the cheek and the man enveloped him with a hug. They also went closer to Jin to give him a warm embrace.

The woman scanned Jin up and down, "He is very handsome, son. No wonder you are head over heels for him."

Jungkook squeezed Jin's hand and stared at him lovingly, "Head over heels is an understatement, mom. I'm crazy for him."

The two elders chuckled at their son's lovestruck teenage aura. It was not all the time you get to see an arrogant Jeon Jungkook be so whipped over a man.

"Oh, well. Son and Mr. Kim Seokjin, good luck on your presentation." The older man displayed a similar bunny smile which eased the tense atmosphere.

"Thank you, dad."

The presentation went smoothly. The board of directors and shareholders were impressed with the proposed business strategies and most especially, with the remarkable sales data of Sweet Destiny café. With the responses, Jungkook was positive that they will be able to get majority or even unanimous approval.

Jungkook's mom interrupted the excited responses inside the conference room with a question directed to Jin, "Mr. Kim Seokjin, since the name of your business is Sweet Destiny, do you believe your café is destined for greatness?"

Everybody inside the room paused and waited for Jin's response.

Clearing his throat and holding his head high, Jin spoke with confidence, "Before I have always believed that everything in life was pre-determined, that we cannot change our destiny. I had experienced a rough life, to the point that I began thinking that nothing good will last forever. However, a man came into my life and taught me that we can change our destiny through our choices in life." He turned his head to gaze at Jungkook who had this proud look on his face, "With me choosing Jeon's corporation, I believe we can work together to achieve success. As for your question, I believe my café can be destined for greatness as long as we make the right choices and actions."
