you rush through the hall in excitement, heading to the slytherin common room. you walk through the doors and look around, seeing a bunch of people but not the one you're looking for. you walk through and get some weird looks... probably because you're a gryffindor in the slytherin common room, which generally isn't allowed.

you see the blonde boy on the couch and smile, going over and sitting next to him. "hi" he looks at you with surprise. "hi, you're... you're not supposed to be in here" "yeah but... i had to find you" "why, what's up?" "i made you something" you can't stop smiling, you've been smiling all day.

"you did?" "yeah, i made one for Ron, Hermione, Harry, Luna and you" "well what is it?" "it's, and don't laugh" "i can't promise" "it's a friendship bracelet" you expect laughter but he just smiles, Pansy laughs but he nudges her very hard in the arm, causing her to gasp and close her mouth.

"well can i see it?" "yeah, will you wear it?" "hm... maybe" you pull it out your pocket and hand it to him, it's green, black and silver with both your names on it. "yours is the only different one because well... we are all in gryffindor and you're in slytherin. so mine is red and gold-" you show him the bracelet on your wrist, "and yours is green, silver and black"

he stares at it and holds it tight in his palm. "thank you" "that's okay" you laugh. "you're very happy" Goyle points out. "yeah, i'm having a good day" he just nods with a slight smile. "i should go before i get in trouble, you don't have to keep it but i'd love if you did... bye Draco" "bye y/n" you walk out of the room with excitement and start heading back to your friends.

"you're going to throw it away right?" Pansy asks as she watches Draco look at the bracelet more. he looks at her and scoffs, "none of your business". she groans and rolls her eyes, hating how he's talking to her lately.

you don't know this but the bracelet means a lot to Draco.

he's never had someone make something from scratch all for him. it may not feel special to anyone else but he is willing to cherish this piece of jewellery for as long as he remembers you. you two agreed to be friends about two weeks ago, since then you've done some partnering up in classes, and hung out a few times, only like 4.

you and Cedric still hang out every single night, and you and the weasley siblings are becoming like a family. it makes you extremely happy to feel like you're apart of a loving family. you've started to have some concerns with this girl Cedric keeps studying with, her name is Cho.

you've met her before, she's incredibly sweet and pretty in your opinion... but the fact that they spend a lot of time studying at his room has been on your mind a lot lately. you've ignored it for a while and you plan on doing so still, he is a loyal boyfriend and wouldn't dare hurt you... you trust that statement.

Hermione approaches you, looking worried. "hermione, you okay?" "i need to ask you something" "okay, what is it?" "are you like... okay i saw the other bracelet hanging out of your books." "um... what do you mean?" "the green one... are you like... what's up with you and Malfoy?" "oh he's my friend" she's silent for a few seconds, "what?"

"yeah... we are friends" "why?" "what do you mean why?" "he's... rude. he called me a mudblood, he bullies harry for his dead parents and Ron for his non wealthy parents" "okay he's changed though" "people like him don't change..." "he can and is" "only for you y/n. he pushed Neville into a bush yesterday, he's still a bad person"

she just walks away without finishing the conversation, you watch her and feel confused. she seems mad at you but you thought she of all people would be willing enough to realise he's changing. you just ignore it all, trying not to let your day get bad.

you walk with your notes in your hand when you look up and see Cho and Cedric.

you put your book down and watch them for a moment, how they laugh together. you always find the positive in negative things, so instead of staying worried you smile at Cedric's smile. he spots you and calls you over, you instantly get embarrassed and worried. you head over there smiling, hiding your nervousness. "hey"

"hey, why didn't you come say hi?" he asks as he puts his arm around your waist and pulls you beside him. "uh, i was... i don't really know" "okay... you alright?" "yeah, um hey Cho" "hey" she smiles, she still seems so sweet. you're worrying for no reason about them, she's too kind and he is loyal.

"we were just hanging out, wanna join?" Cedric asks, you nod softly. "yeah" "cool" they continue their conversation from before you joined, so you look around. you see Draco and his friends, so you watch them walk. he spots you looking when Crabbe points it out, you wave to him and he waves back.

you watch him wave and see his sleeve fall down a little, and you see the little green bracelet. you find yourself smiling the biggest smile you've had for a while, feeling so grateful that he didn't throw it away. you feel butterflies in your stomach as you look at the ground, still smiling. "you look happy" Cho says, interrupting your thoughts.

you look up at her and nod "i am"

aa. i have a feeling i'll get questions about Luna so, in this book she's in gryffindor. i know she's a ravenclaw in the real movies and books but i changed it for the plot :))
