you're just exiting class and on your way to get something to eat before your next.

you stop walking when you see Cho Chang herself approaching you. "cho..." "hey y/n... i need to apologise to you" "apologise... for what?" "um, you should really ask Cedric... i thought he told you" "told me what cho?" "just ask him, i'm really sorry y/n" she walks away before you can say anything else, but you have a really bad feeling about this.

you go to class and try to act like everything's normal, but it's bothering you. why would she apologise? what is she apologising for? you have a pit in your stomach so deep, you feel yourself unable to concentrate. That's a bad thing because you're doing a practical in potions, if you can't concentrate then you could do something really bad.

you partner up with Harry but he can see something is wrong. "are you going to be able to focus and do this?" "yeah yeah, i'll try my hardest. sorry i have something on my mind" "oh okay, you seem to always have something on your mind lately. are you okay?" "trying to be yeah, are you?" "yeah" "good"

you and Harry work on the potion but he ends up doing most of it, your mind is too full. you apologise for making him do most of it and leave class as fast as possible. you look for Cedric everywhere and finally stop at his room, knocking on the door. he opens it up while buttoning up his shirt, "y/n?" you push past him and walk in.

he closes the door and turns to you, fixing his collar. "what's up?" "why did cho apologise to me?" he takes a moment to respond, standing still. "what?" "why did Cho apologise, she said she thought you told me- told me what?" "oh... y/n um..." "spit it out"

you wait anxiously for an answer, seeing how anxious he looks as well.

"yesterday after you came to see me about that thing... Cho and i studied again" "okay... why would she have to apologise for-" "you didn't let me finish. look one thing led to another and..." he just goes silent, but his silence gives you the answer. you scoff, tears forming in your eyes.

"so when i told you that you weren't getting any from me you went and got some from someone else? are you that desperate?" "y/n-" "i think that... you need to not speak to me. we are definitely done Cedric" "wait let me make it up to you" "you just cheated and you want another chance? no i know my self worth better than that, Malfoy was right"

"you're listening to him now? god you're like obsessed" "i'm not obsessed with anything. he told me from the start you would find a way to hurt me... he was right" tears stream down your cheeks quickly. you leave the room, trying to find any one of your friends, you don't really care who. whether it's Ron, The twins, Hermione or "Draco..."

you stop and see him walking, you wipe some of the tears off your face but new ones fall out and make it look like you didn't even wipe them away. you run over to him, Crabbe and Goyle and stop in front of him. "y/n... you're crying" he says oh so obviously. "yeah, guys can i talk to him?" Goyle nods and pulls Crabbe away as you let out a big sigh.

"what happened?" "you can say you told me so now" you say, your voice breaking. "what did he do?" "cheated" you laugh, but not a happy laugh. "he cheated" "y/n... do you want to go like talk about it somewhere?" "i don't want to bother you i might just go see Ron" "oh okay" "see you later Draco" "bye..." he whispers as you walk off, trying to find Ron.

when you do find him, you spend about half an hour crying into his arms.

Hermione and Harry were also comforting you but they left to go to class. "Ron i'm sorry, you can go to class" "i'd rather make sure you're okay... are you?" "no... i should've known" "you wouldn't have seen that coming, he was nice to you" "i feel so pathetic. i said i didn't want to sleep with him so he does it with someone else not even 10 minutes later?"

Ron continues comforting you, his hand holding yours.

"i was with malfoy at the time" "you were?" "yeah, he came and told me we can be friends again and we hung out together, talking" "were you happy?" "yeah... if i had known what was happening that very moment i wouldn't have been" "malfoy seems to be there a lot when you're upset" "yeah, he can be sometimes...

what do i do Ron? i don't wanna be upset tomorrow or tonight, i want to get over it" "you won't, but just focus on something else. i can get Fred and George to take you out for the day" "no it's okay, thank you though" you squeeze his hand lightly.

"y/n i need to tell you something" "sure... what is it?" "i think... look i've been watching you and how you act" "what... why? stalker much?" "no, but i think that you're in denial about something" "about what Ron?" "malfoy"
