Everyone is starting to panic, leaving their rooms as instructed by Professor McGonagall. you leave your dorm room alongside Hermione, both of you dressed in casual hoodies and sweats. "what is happening?" you ask, but Hermione just shrugs, exiting the room with you.

you watched Dumbledore's death lastnight, you struggled to keep Harry intact, he was angry. you're guessing all this stress has something to do with the way the death eaters somehow entered the school because of Draco. "Mr's Mcgonagall? what is it?" "There's been some disruptance, i need you to make your way to the great hall."

she almost shoves you and Hermione out of the way, as if to tell you that you really need to get going. you both run to the great hall, pushing past students in the room. "if anyone has any knowledge to Mr Potter's whereabouts, i'd advise them to step forward.". you hear Snape say calmly as you enter the Great Hall.

Everyone is lined up, everyone you know is there.

Students all gasp and move away at the sight of Harry walking through. "Harry..." you try to stop him from walking any further toward Snape but he rips his arm away from you, stepping forward. "it seems despite your exhaustive, defence strategies, you still have a bit of a security problem headmaster."

you watch as people such as Remus, Tonks, Bill, Fleur, Ron, Neville and the twins walk in the room behind him. it's a chilling sight, but in a good way. "how dare you stand where he stood? tell them how it happened last night! tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you and killed him!"

Soft gasps enter the room, everyone confused as to what Harry means aside from you. "Tell Them!" Snape hesitates before pulling out his wand, McGonagall pushing herself infront of Harry and pointing her wand towards Snape. Students all back up much further, including you and Hermione.

They stand in silence before McGonagall throws an orangish yellow light towards Snape, the two of them defending themselves and blocking one another's magic. Snape disappears out the window, the death eaters behind him doing so also. The crowd cheers but you worry about Harry.

Harry suddenly drops to the floor, McGonagall rushing toward him. Everyone in the room goes silent, the room suddenly darker... until a girl in the back of the room screams rapidly, her screams indicating how terrified she is, but of what?

you and Harry make your way over toward the screams, noticing a young girl sitting in the corner with her hands over her ears, still screaming. another girl from the middle of the room starts screaming, you both make your way over to her.

"i know that many of you want to fight, some of you may even think that to fight is wise" Voldemort whispers in everyone's head, a lot of students have their hands over the ears, but you're just listening to his words. "give me Harry Potter... do this, and none should be harmed. Give me Harry Potter and i shall leave hogwarts untouched" he repeats.

"give me Harry potter, and you will be rewarded, you have one hour" the room gets lighter as the voice goes away, everyone staring at Harry and you. "wait are you waiting for, somebody grab him!" Pansy shouts annoyingly, before you and Ginny both stand right infront of Harry, guarding him.

beside him stands Cho, Padma Patil, Seamus Finnigan, Fred and George Weasley, Lavender Brown, Percy Weasley, Dean Thomas, Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Bill Weasley, Fleur Delacour, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley and more.

Filch runs through the crowd, doing that weird high knee run he does while holding his cat. "students out of bed, students in the corridor!" "the students are supposed to be out of bed you idiot" Mcgonagall replies. "oh... sorry mum" "Filch, if you would, i would like you please, to escort Ms Parkinson and the rest of slytherin house from the hall"

"and where is it i'll be leading them to?" "to the dungeons will do" everyone applauds at this, while watching slytherin house be escorted out of the room. "what is it you need Mr Potter?" "time, as much as you can get me" "do what you have to do, i'll secure the castle"

"i'll stay with Mcgonagall, you do what you need to" you say to Harry, who runs out of the room with Hermione and Ron by his side. you follow Mcgonagall along with Seamus, Neville, Molly and Flitwick. "Let me get this straight professor, you're actually giving us permission to do this professor?"

"That is correct Longbottom" "to blow it up? boom...?" you laugh slightly at Neville saying "boom" but then laugh harder at McGonagall copying. "Boom!" "Wicked, how on Earth are we going to do that?" "why don't you confer with Mr Finnigan, as i recall he has a proclivity for pyrotechnics" "i can bring it down!" Seamus says enthusiastically.

"That's the spirit, away you go" Neville and Seamus rush away, while you stand with McGonagall, Molly and Flitwick. "you do realise, of course, we can't keep out you know who indefinitely" Flitwick asks. "That doesn't mean that we can't delay him... and his name is Voldemort, you may as well use it. he's going to try to kill you anyway"

The surprise on Molly's face is hilarious, but you're just impressed by McGonagall's badass side coming out. She faces towards the statues standing high, and you wonder what she's going to do while you face them also. "Piertotum, locomotor!" she waves her wand and the ground shakes when a statue comes down.

many more statues jump down from where they were, landing in a ready to battle stance. They walk in single file lines past you all, heading toward the bridge. "Hogwarts is threatened, man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school!" you all watch as the statues walk away, and you have so many questions.

"i've always wanted to use that spell!" McGonagall giggles, which makes you smile. The teachers shoot lights out of their wands towards the sky, creating a dome barrier around the school. you get chills up your spine when you realise this is the Hogwarts battle, Voldemort is coming.
