The girl averted her gaze back to the sketchbook in her lap. I could see a realistic looking drawing of a building. It looked like Roman architecture.
"Uh Annabeth?" I got a cold feeling hearing that name. Piper stood next to me and leaned against the counter. She gave a half smile to Annabeth as she looked up. She gave me another hard glare that sent a chill down my back.

"Uh I'm Percy." I tried for a smile but her glare discouraged me.
"I know who you are." She went back to drawing the building.
"Annabeth be nice. Perce just lost his job. I had to give him a place to stay."
Annabeth nodded and kept drawing. Suddenly Piper got a call from her phone. She pulled it out and looked at who was calling. Her eyes widened at who it was.

"Um I have to take this. Um how about you guys catch up?" She answered the call and ran into one of the rooms and closed the door. I glanced at Annabeth and caught her glaring at me. I took a deep breathe and sat on the couch next to her.
"So um-"
"No." She spat out. I stared at the ground. Why did she hate me so much? What did I ever do to her? Finally my questions couldn't wait.
"Annabeth?"
"What?"
"Why do you hate me so much?"
She scoffed and ignored the question.

"Where do I know you from? I kind of recognize you, I just don't know what from."
She turned and glared at me. "You seriously don't remember? Ok well let me jog your memory. Senior year of high school? You moved to LA and went to school with us. You quickly became friends with Piper. She was my best friend. And my only friend. It's a stupid reason to be mad at you but you practically stole her from me. I don't know I guess I never let it go." She let it all out like she was holding it all in. Suddenly it all clicked. I definitely remember seeing her all the time with Piper when we hung out. She still had the same glare 3 years later.

"Well I'm sorry. I'll try not to steal Piper this time around." She stared at me blankly like she wasn't expecting an apology. She bit her bottom lip and looked back down at her drawing.
"That's a good drawing by the way."
Her face turned into a scowl. "Thanks." She mumbled.
I could tell she didn't want to talk any longer so I turned away and went on my phone. Well living with her was going to be so fun wasn't it?
