I hauled myself out of bed and winced at the soreness from yesterdays graceful crash. I walked out to the kitchen and inspected the sparse food from the fridge. I settled for a Gogurt and some water. I sat down at the couch and glanced at my laptop that was left from yesterday.

I smiled and grabbed the device, turning it on and going to the booking website.
I scrolled through flights and tapped my foot anxiously on the ground.
I heard a knock at the door and flinched. I stood, walking to the door. I opened the door expecting to see Rachel or Piper, and instead saw Annabeth.
Her hair was longer and was in a messy ponytail. She had dark circles under her eyes and the same award winning smile on her face. She still looked stunning as ever.

"Percy?" She mumbled.
"A-Annabeth?" I pinched my arm and winced as I felt the small pain. I looked back at her dumbfounded. "What-"
Before I could finish my sentence she smashed her lips against mine, closing the gap. I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my arms around her. She pulled away and rested her forehead against mine.
"What are you doing here?"
"To see you, Seaweedbrain." She smiled as a few stray tears rolled down her cheeks.

"But what about-"
"Four months in Rome taught me I'd much rather be here with you than at some fancy school." I almost forgot how to breathe as I stared at her.
"Annabeth you can't just-"
"Of course I can. I love you." She wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face into my neck. I held her tight and let out a breathe of content. I took in a deep breathe and smelled the fresh lemon of her hair.

"I love you too, Wisegirl."
I pulled away and cupped her cheeks. "How did you know where I live?"
"Piper told me. Nice place you got."
I pulled her into another hug. "It can be yours too if you need somewhere to stay."
"Percy I can't just-"
"Of course you could. I'd be more than happy to have you here." She laughed and wrapped her arms tighter around me.
I pulled away and smiled at her. "Well its December so- do you wanna maybe decorate our apartment with me?" She smiled and nodded. She reached up and pecked me on the lips.

We brought her stuff in and her things in the bedroom. We spent the day looking for Christmas decorations and a tree.
Later that night we decorated the apartment, filling it with festive things for the upcoming holiday.
When the room was finished we sat on the couch full of exhaustion. She cuddled up to my side and grabbed my hand like she always used to do. I kissed her on her temple and wrapped the two of us in a blanket. I switched on the TV and played Christmas movies.
I sighed in content and wrapped my arms tighter around her as if she was gonna be plucked away again.

She squeezed my hand and turned to me with a bright smile. "I'm not going anywhere. I promise." She said as if reading my mind.
"I'm glad." She flashed me a bright smile before turning her attention back to the TV.
And just like that she was back in my life. And I promised to myself never to lose her again.
