I groaned as my alarm blared in my ears. I grabbed my phone and shut it off. I shut my eyes tight and buried myself in the blankets. I was almost asleep when I heard a knock at my door. I groaned in response.
"Percy?" I lifted the blankets and sleepily looked at the door where Annabeth stood.
"Yeah?" My voice cracked in a sleepy tone. She bit her lip to stop a smirk.

"Um. Come here." She walked out of the room. I hauled myself out of bed and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes following her. I stopped in the kitchen and she stood next to the counter. I glanced at the counter seeing two plates of toast with avocado spread over them. Next to the plates two cups of coffee sat with steam coming out of the top.
I turned to Annabeth with a confused look.

"Uh I wanted to pay you back for making breakfast yesterday." She gave me a small smile. I smiled back at her and sat down at one of the stools. She hesitantly sat down next to me.
I started eating the toast and looked at the cup of coffee blankly. I glanced at Annabeth with her messy bed head. I smiled, taking the cup of coffee and taking a sip to be polite. Despite the heat it tasted pretty ok for hot coffee.  I glanced over and saw Annabeth staring at me confusedly.
"W-What?"

"You look completely grossed out. Is there something wrong with the coffee-"
"No no there's nothing wrong with it. I just usually prefer ice coffee."
"Oh I didn't know." She stared at me blankly.
"What's wrong?"
"I've actually never had ice coffee."
I raised my eyebrows and smirked at her. "You've never had the heavenly drink that is ice coffee?"
She shook her head. I smiled at her and stood. "Let's go get some then."
"We're in our pajamas." She said with a smile.

"Who cares you look fine." I blurted out. Her cheeks turned red but she stood.
"Fine." She walked passed me and ran into her room. She walked out seconds later with a hoodie and a messy bun. She slipped on her shoes and walked to the door.
"Well come on then."

"So what do you think?" I smirked at her as I took another sip of my coffee.

She stared at the coffee in her hands and scrunched her eyebrows. "Its- good." She smiled.
"Yeah?" I reflected her bright smile.
"Yeah. I should've tried this a long time ago."
I smirked at her and drank more of my coffee.
"Percy?"
I glanced at her and her face was pale. "Yeah?"
She looked up at me and her expression was unreadable. "I-I'm sorry."

"For what?"
"For being so mean to you. And for such a stupid reason too. I-"
I grabbed her hand. "Annabeth. It's perfectly fine. You don't need to be sorry."
She smiled and nodded at me. She glanced at our hands and her cheeks got bright red. I let go of her hand and finished my coffee.
Something inside me wanted to hold her hand again. I pushed away the thought and just tried to enjoy my morning with her.
