"Percy?" I opened my eyes to see Annabeth staring at me.
"Yeah?"
"What are you doing in here?" She rubbed her eyes.
"You asked me to spend the night in here with you."
She groaned and turned away from me, rubbing her face. "I can barely even remember last night." She sat up and winced."What's wrong?" I sat up and kneeled in front of her bed.
"I have a really bad headache." She whined.
"You probably have a hangover." I stood up and offered her my hand. "Here let's get you something to drink."
She stood on her own and walked passed me out the door. I followed her out. She stood in the hallway covering her eyes."Too bright?" She nodded in response. I walked over to the windows and closed them all. "There all the windows are closed."
She opened her eyes and still squinted at me. She walked over to the counter and plopped onto the stool. I went to the kitchen and got her a glass of water.
"Are you hungry?" She shook her head no and laid her head against the counter. I set the glass of water next to her and sat down. She took a sip of the water and laid her head back down."Why aren't you hungover?" She whined.
"I don't drink." She huffed in response and shivered. "Are you cold?"
I stood up and grabbed a blanket from the couch and wrapped it around her. She bundled up in the blanket and sniffled.
"Hey let's go watch a movie. Disney movies will help you feel better." She scoffed in response but stood up and sat down at the couch.I picked a movie and started it, making sure it wasn't too loud for her. Halfway through the movie she got bored and we started talking instead of paying attention. She seemed in a better mood than a little bit ago. We made a bag of popcorn and only a few minutes after we were throwing it at each other.
I threw a fistful of popcorn at her and a few pieces got lodged in her hair. I laughed and smirked at her.
"What?""The popcorn is stuck in your hair." I bit back another laugh. Her eyes widened and she tried picking out the popcorn but she couldn't find it. "Here let me help." I moved the bag of popcorn and scooted closer to her. I picked out all the little pieces and set them on the coffee table.
My hand lingered on her face after getting the last one. I stared at her and rubbed my thumb on her bright red cheek."P-Percy?" Without thinking I leaned forward and kissed her. She didn't pull away and instead she kissed back.
A second later she pulled away with wide eyes. "Percy-"
I pulled away and felt a rock of guilt in my gut. "I'm so sorry." I moved back and tried to steady my breathing.
"That can't happen again." She muttered.
"Yeah no that can't.""I-I should go." She stood and walked off to her room with a hand over her mouth. As soon as she walked into her room I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in. I buried my face into my hands and groaned. Why did I have to kiss her? She has a boyfriend. She probably hates me now.
If Luke finds out about that, I'm going to be dead.
