I sat on the couch half awake. I came home to a surprisingly empty living room so I took the opportunity to relax there for once.
Annabeth hasn't talked to me since I brought her lunch last week. I was fine with that. I didn't want to see her with Luke anyways.

I was almost asleep when I heard someone come through the door. I kept my eyes shut and tried to fall asleep when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I looked up lazily to see Piper standing over me with a smirk on her face.
"Time to wake up, Dumbass." She shoved my shoulder lightly.
"I wasn't even asleep." I groaned and rubbed my eyes.

"Yeah I'm sure you were just resting your eyes." She set the bags of groceries she had on the counter and started to put stuff away. I figured I might as well help.
As I was putting some chips in the pantry Piper started up a conversation. "So Percy what's up with you and Annabeth?"
"Nothing." I mumbled.
"No, some things going on. I can tell. First you're all googly eyes over her and now that Luke's around you backed off."

"Ok first of all I wasn't googly eyes around her. And second I decided I shouldn't be around her if she has a boyfriend."
"You can still be friends with her you know."
I grunted in response and finished putting away the groceries. Piper grabbed an apple, washed it and hopped up on the counter to sit.
"Jason's throwing a party tonight."
"Sounds fun." I leaned against the fridge and crossed my arms.
"Do you want to come? It'll be fun." She smirked.

I sighed and thought about it. "Will Annabeth be there?"
"Ugh don't tell me you won't come just because she's there. You don't even have to talk to her."
I glared at her but finally came to the decision.
"Fine."

Five minutes into the party I was already bored. I avoided the alcohol to make sure I could drive home later.

For a couple hours I mingled with random people, having boring conversations.
I went to the kitchen to get a soda from the fridge. A girl with curly brown hair and brown eyes stood in front of the fridge eyeing what I was doing.
"Can I help you?"
"I'm just getting a drink." She mumbled.
"What kind? A beer?" I held out a can of beer to her.
"No. I don't drink. A soda is fine please."

I nodded and pulled out two sodas and handed one to her.
"Thanks."
"Well you're welcome-" I motioned for her to say her name.
"Abigail."
"Well Abigail, it's nice to meet you I'm Percy." She leaned against the counter next to me and started we talking.
After around ten minutes Piper came running to me, interrupting the conversation.

"Hey Percy." She had a tipsy look in her eyes."
"Hey Piper. Whatcha up to?"
"Uh I need a favor?"
"And what's that." I took another sip of my soda and chuckled at her wariness.
"Can you drive Annabeth home?"
