Tuesday passed by the same as Monday did. Boring. there was, however, another murder. It was in Sendai just over the border that separated the prefecture's capital from Natori.

Everyone at school was talking about it. And on Wednesday. And Thursday.

There was another murder on Friday. It was a young man who lived in Kawasaki. It was late Friday night, maybe even early Saturday morning. [L/N] hadn't been paying attention to the news for long enough to know.

She stepped into McDonald's, the warm smell of fries flooding over her. She immediately felt a wave of relaxation wash over her with it.

There was a loud commotion from the drive-thru window, and a woman was yelling at the young man at the counter. You picked up on the conversation.

"Sir, I asked for beans! These are clearly not beans!" the woman exclaimed.
"M-ma'am. I only work here, I-I'm not-" the young employee was desperately trying to explain that McDonald's doesn't sell beans.

There were objects flying through the drive-thru window, which included various types of yogurt pots and a few pairs of shoes. [L/N] leant forwards to peek through and caught a glimpse of Iwaizumi's face. They made eye contact and he waved, ducking under a stiletto that oikawa had thrown from the passenger seat.

"Sh-Shinohara-san!" the boy at the window cried. The young man serving the counter whipped around and blanched.
"Oh- oh my lord." he said.
"Excuse me? Why are you ignoring me?" the girl yelling at him shrieked.

"Oi, dumbass!" Kageyama was sat at one of the tables. "leave the poor guy alone."
"I want beans." the girl, now established as your libero, whined.
"We can get beans at my house." Kageyama glared.
"But McDonald's does the good beans!" Tsubasa whined. The setter grabbed her by the wrist.
"McDonald's doesn't do beans!" he shouted back.

Their shouting fest was interrupted by several car alarms going off at once. Out of curiosity, [L/N] exited McDonald's behind Kageyama and Tsubasa and walked around to the parking lot.

"Tobio-chan! My sweet little protégée!" Oikawa was on top of a car, presumably his. "I see you've come for a showdown."
"Oikawa-san." Kageyama growled.
"Tobio, what's going on?" Tsubasa asked.
"Oh, your brought your lady friend?" Oikawa smirked darkly.

"This hasn't anything to do with her, Oikawa-san." Kageyama stepped a foot in front of her. Oikawa snapped his fingers.
"Boys." he said. Nobody moved.

He cleared his throat and repeated the phrase.
"Oh! That's our cue, Mattsun!"

Two boys, Hanamaki and Matsukawa, climbed out of the car and started advancing on Kageyama and Tsubasa.

'What the hell is going on?' [L/N] thought, wondering briefly if she was witnessing a gang war. Her train of thought crashed, however, when Nishinoya, Tanaka and Hinata leapt out from only heaven knows where.

"Kageyama, cover! Tanaka, get Tsubasa out of here!" Hinata exclaimed, tackling into Matsukawa whilst Nishinoya went for Hanamaki. Tanaka ran and tossed Tsubasa over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Hey!" Tsubasa hissed. Matsukawa broke free of Hinata's grip and went barrelling towards Tsubasa and Tanaka. He fell over his shoelace and bumped his head on the ground.
"Mattsun!" Hanamaki exclaimed, wrestling away from Nishinoya to run to his fallen comrade.

"What the hell..." [L/N] whispered. "this feels... overly dramatic."

"So you think you can just steal away with Aoba Johsai's girls, huh?" Oikawa called dramatically, hopping down from the car. "you thought wrong."
