"[Y/N]-chan!" Oikawa smiled widely, only lasting a few seconds before it dropped into a frown. He turned to grimace at takeru. "[Y/N]-chan can't be your new wife!"

"Why not?" Takeru argued.
"Because!" Oikawa replied, folding his arms and pouting childishly. You sighed and shook your head slowly.

"Well... I've found your uncle now, Takeru-kun. I'll have to get going." you said, crouching to his height.
"Aww..." Takeru replied. "not fair."

"I know." you patted his head and stood up, before smiling graciously. "I'll see you around, Dannasan."

"What?" Oikawa went pale.
"Takeru-kun and I are married. Remember?" you said seriously. His shoulders slacked and he sighed.

"Okay." he said. "well, see you 'round, [Y/N]-chan!"
"That's [L/N], to you." you replied, before turning on your heel and walking away.

You felt the setter's eyes on your back but ignored him, instead opting to shimmy into the sports store, where the two Sakiyama siblings said they would be.

You fortunately found them looking at compression shirts for Samuru.
"Sakiyama." you called. Both blondes turned around, faces breaking into wide smiles.
"Hey there, [L/N]-san." the girl replied. "I'm just helping Samuru pick out a compression shirt."

"I can see that." you said. The blond man was standing in front of a full-length mirror about five feet away, holding up a black compression shirt to his torso. In his other hand, he held a hanger, which hung up a white compression shirt.

"Which one do you think'll match better?" he asked. "white or black?"
"Well, white will match your uniform..." Sakiyama said. "but black will compliment your kneepads."

"Just get both." you shrugged. The two turned to you.
"Not a half-bad idea, [L/N]." Samuru said.
"Thanks." you responded, falling into step with your wing spiker as you made your way to the checkout. You noticed she had a pair of shoes, Mizuno branded.

"New volleyball shoes?" you asked.
"Mm." she grunted in response. "wanted white and teal - y'know, our colours. They're better than my old ones."

"Those old ones were black and red, right? Just like Nekoma." you said. You thought back to when you had played against them and almost lost because of their bastard blocker.

"Don't look so sour, [L/N]-san!" the ace grinned.
"In all fairness, that middle blocker was huge." you said. "she must have been, what, 5'11?"

"I'll agree, that is tall for a girl." Sakiyama shrugged.
"What pissed me off was that pain-in-the-ass Yamamoto came up to Harukaze at the school gates and tried to pick her up." you grumbled.

"The one from the boys team?" she asked, to which you nodded. "yeah. Him."
"I'm in their stupid group chat, too." you rolled your eyes. "same with Karasuno and Fukuroudani."
"Why?" Sakiyama asked. "you have nothing to do with them."

"I'm long-time friends with Bokuto, remember?" you said. "he invited me to their team's group chat and Akaashi told me not to leave or I'd make Bokuto sad, and that made me feel terrible."
"What about Nekoma?" she tilted her head, mussing her hair slightly.

"Bokuto introduced me to Kuroo and I guess we're friends." you rolled your eyes. "his face gets on my nerves sometimes. Not that I don't like the guy, though. It's just... Nekoma. There's a real possibiltiy that they could mess up our chances of going to nationals."

"No way! We're awesome, [L/N]-san. Plus, we've got the great genetics." she said. "I mean, just take a look at my brother!"

She gestured to Samuru, he looked back over his shoulder and grinned momentarily.

"He took Seijoh to nationals, twice! He sure was something!" she exclaimed. "and now look at him! He plays officially! On an Olympic team!"

"I guess you're right..." you sighed.
"So, who cares about those stupid cats? They're nothing more than kittens we can crush beneath our boots." Sakiyama clenched her fists.
"Erm... Sakiyama, that's a bit..." you trailed off.
"To hell with them! And those Fukuroudani owl bastards, too! And those flightless Karasuno crows!" Sakiyama continued.

"Oh, yeah. You didn't really get along with Karasuno's captain, did you? What was her name, Michimiya?" you said. "I think she was fine."
"She kept looking at you funny! And her face was just... ugh! So annoying! I've never wanted to punch someone more." she hissed.

"We got our revenge on them, though. They were all getting mad because Tsubasa kept receiving all of their spikes like a champ." you grinned fondly, remembering the furious looks on the Karasuno girls' faces. Sakiyama laughed heartily.

"Yeah, we sure showed them." she nodded. "I can't wait to play against them again. I heard they're getting pretty good. Thought, they'll always be just flightless crows to me."

"You know who I'm looking forward to play against?" you said. "Shiratorizawa, one of the top eight schools in Japan. They're a powerhouse."

"I hope we can beat them." Sakiyama said. "no. I know we can beat them."
"I'm just glad you haven't had a run-in with the boys' team yet..." Samuru spoke. "pendejos..."

"Pendejos? What does that mean?" you asked.
"Assholes." he said shortly. "I remember one of the times I played against them, in my last year at Seijoh. We had a great team, maybe the best, even the first years - an incredible setter and his spiker buddy, these two middle blockers with funky hair, and this pink-haired kid too. I hear they went pretty far. A load of the second-years were all relying on them, too, since they mostly got replaced in the roster by those first-years."

Sakiyama glanced at you.
"Yeah, we know 'em. They're great now." she said. "Oikawa Tooru's the setter, he's the captain now and pretty much the best setter in the prefecture. and his friend, Iwaizumi Hajime. He's the ace of their team now!"

"Huh. Knew they'd be something." Samuru said fondly. "anyway. I was in my third-year when we once played against Shiratorizawa - I'd played against them before, but it was different that time. They, too, had new first years. One of them was an absolute unit.

"Ushijima Wakatoshi." he hissed, a dark look crossing his face. "he's well known now. But he's the reason we didn't go to nationals that year. It was his fault."
