Morgan thought that Reid was adorable. He know it seemed a bit weird to think that way about the doctor but he just couldn't help it. He found him especially cute when Reid would go on his informative rants about God knows what.
"Now I do," Morgan laughed as Reid finished talking. The brunette smiled and looked down the way he always did when he was embarrassed. Morgan licked his lips as he watched Spencer for a few minutes. What was it that kept making Morgan feel this way? How was he even feeling? For the first time, Morgan was genuinely confused over the way he felt about someone. Sure Morgan has liked people before but no one recently since he never really had time for a real relationship if it wasn't just for casual sex. Recently, Morgan had been feeling some sort of way towards Reid but the darker male just didn't know how to describe it nor approach it. Especially because his new 'interest' was a guy. Derek had definitely never been attracted to a male before in his life. It never even crossed his mind to think about any guy that way and the new interest had him utterly confused and he was still trying to figure out what is that was going on.
"Spencer to Morgan," Reid waved his hand in Derek's face as he spoke. Morgan blinked and focused back on Reid's face.
"What?" Morgan frowned.
"I was trying to tell you that I finished," he said as he pushed the files towards the agent.
"Of course you are," Morgan nodded as he took them from Reid gratefully, slipping them into the cabinet in their designated spots. "Thanks," Derek smiled and Reid nodded.
"No problem," he replied as he fidgeted with the ID card that was clipped onto his vest. Morgan sat quietly, wondering whether or not it'd be a smart idea to invite the doctor over to spend some time. Normally, Morgan wouldn't have thought twice about such invitation but now that there are all these mixed feelings involved, Morgan just wasn't sure if it would be the right move. Was he really attracted to males? Or maybe it was just Spencer whom he was attracted to. Yeah, that's definitely it but regardless, it left him confused. Since when had he been attracted to Reid like this anyway?
"So Reid, wanna come over after this?" Morgan asked in hope of getting some of his questions answered.
"Uh why?" he asked. Derek smiled, shaking his head.
"Can't I just invite a friend over?" Morgan asked. The word 'friend' felt foreign in his mouth all of a sudden, as if it didn't suit the subject at hand which perhaps, it didn't.
"You can but erm, sure," he nodded, making small eye contact before lowering his gaze, licking his lips. Have his lips always looked so... inviting like that? Damn it, Morgan, figure it out. You're sounding crazy right now. Morgan felt he may be going insane.
"Alright well, I think we're both pretty much done here so it wouldn't make sense to just stay here," Morgan shrugged, standing up and picking up his jacket, shrugging it on.
"I guess you're right," Reid also stood up, picking up his messenger bag.
"Do you want to pick up takeout?" Morgan searched for his keys in the desk drawers.
"Sure, but no more Indian," Reid said, shaking his head. "I can't have that twice in one day."
"So Chinese? I'll teach you to use chopsticks, pretty boy," Derek chuckled, finding his keys and slipping them into his pocket.
"Okay fine, but I hope you have forks," he pointed out.
"Why wouldn't I have forks?" Morgan frowned as they walked out and made their way to the elevator stealthily so they wouldn't be caught. Not that they were doing anything wrong, but no need to make it a big deal either.
