"Good morning, Spence," JJ greeted as she stepped into the elevator to ride up to their floor.
"Hey JJ," Reid smiled, tapping his fingers across his coffee rhythmically.
"Okay, what is up with you? I'm starting to think you're bipolar," she laughed as she stared at the young agent.
"Why do you say that?"
"Because the entire time we were on the case you were off. You were quip and sulky even. Now you're all smiles and even making beats? You rarely do that. What's up?" she folded her arms with a smirk. "Is it a girl? Do you have a girlfriend?" she perked an eyebrow.
"I am not bipolar. Did you know that--"
"Okay, okay, sorry I brought it up," she laughed, putting her hands up in surrender. Reid smiled and looked ahead as the elevator doors dinged open, granting his vision the pleasure of Morgan passing by.
"Mornin' pretty people. We've got a case, Hotch said we're meeting in the conference room in five minutes," he grinned, making subtle eye contact with the doctor as he continued his walk to the room. Spencer dropped his things on his desk, walking towards the conference room and plopping down in between Rossi and Emily.
"Where's the pep in your step from?" Rossi questioned with raised eyebrows.
"Uh nothing, I'm walking normally," Reid denied.
"Yeah right," Emily snorted. Morgan smiled slyly and Reid's cheeks reddened. Reid didn't want Morgan to know that his acceptance and reciprocation affected him that much.
"See Spence, I'm not the only one who sees it," JJ smirked.
"Are you glowing?" Rossi poked the side of my face and Reid frowned, shaking his head.
"What? No, of course not. Humans have no need to have bioluminescence so we are not capable of glow--"
"Oh my God, did you get laid last night?" Emily gasped. Morgan choked on his coffee from across the table, spitting it out.
"You okay?" Hotch asked as he walked in, only having seen him choke.
"Uh, yeah," he nodded, grabbing a few napkins to clean up the coffee. "Sorry," he muttered as Garcia peppered in, remote in hand.
"So did you?" Rossi smirked as Garcia started pulling up the presentation.
"No!" Reid felt his face get really hot.
"Did you what?" Hotch questioned, frowning. "Your face is red, are you sick?" he asked.
"Nothing, we were just wondering whether or not Reid here, got laid last night," Emily smiled mischievously, patting his shoulder. Hotch suppressed a chuckle, managing a small smile before shaking his head and waving Garcia to get started and so she did.
For most of the presentation, Reid was focused and paying attention until Morgan would look over and shoot a sly look.
"Wheels up in 30," Reid snapped out of his trance and stood up, following everyone out.
"So did you get laid last night?" Morgan chuckled as he followed the agent to his desk.
"Obviously not, Morgan," Reid shook his head, picking up his bag. He laughed and left towards his office to get his bag. They all met up at the SUVs and headed to Alaska.
"How long is this flight going to be?" Emily sighed as they boarded and sat down.
"Approximately nine hours and fifteen minutes," Reid provided.
"Oh perfect. I can take a nice nap," she smiled, flopping over the couch. Rossi chuckled and sat down next to Spencer. They profiled as much as they could with what they had before everyone was left to do their own.
