Derek wondered where this officer found the audacity to talk to Reid like that. Was he looking to get kicked today because Morgan thought he was a great target for his foot. The officer continued to glare at Reid whilst he explained his theory and Derek was ready to push him out the window. Who did this guy think he was?
"Derek, are you okay?" Spencer asked once they were alone, working on the profile individually.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Morgan looked through the different photographs.
"Well because earlier you kind of looked like you wanted to murder that officer," Spencer told him.
"He just pissed me off, questioning you like that like he knew more than you," he explained, inspecting every inch of the image.
"But you know that's bound to happen. People aren't always ready to hear the truth and they try to build a sort of wall around themselves so they believe what they want to believe, not necessarily the truth," the doctor sighed.
"I know, I just didn't like the way he was talking to you," Reid chuckled softly.
"You can't go around wanting to murder every person that talks to me like that. Then we'd have to go after you for being a serial killer and I'd be your stressor," Morgan laughed at that, smiling and looking up at him from the file. Reid was standing adorably with a small grin on his lips.
"Alright, I'll keep it in my head," he assured him and Spencer's smile widened.
"Good," Spencer turned to the board where he was working on. "Now, obviously, he has to have a partner. His wife confirms he did in fact go into the kitchen when Kelly disappeared. There couldn't have been any other way in which he had gotten her," he said, beginning to pace.
"Right, but before we get into that. We need to figure out why," Derek told him. "Why would he want to kidnap his own daughter?" he fiddled with the pen in his hand as he watched Reid pace, thinking hard.
"It's not very common for parents who are together to have one of the two kidnap their child but it isn't strange that it would be the father who did it," he thought out loud.
"Do you think the mother was in on it?"
"Mm, no she was the one who called. If they wanted to get rid of their daughter they would've done so quietly," Reid answered.
"Okay so we have a father kidnapping his own daughter under his wife's nose without a valid reason, an unknown partner and unidentified endgame," Derek stood up from the chair, leaning against the table.
"Yup," he let out a breath as he turned back to the board.
"Dysfunctional family," Morgan nodded. "Perfect."

"FBI! PUT YOUR WEAPON DOWN MR. LEE!" Morgan shouted as he kicked the door down. Clarence Lee was standing over his daughter's sobbing body, a knife raised over his head and ready to come down in her chest.
"NO!" he shouted, his hands shaking.
"You don't want to hurt an innocent little girl. Think, Clarence!" Hotch yelled. "Your wife won't love you any more with your daughter gone and she definitely won't love you if you kill her!"
"You don't understand! Yes, she will, she will see that we'll be happier without this brat in our lives. All she's done is ruined it since she's gotten here!" the little girl cried harder. "Shut up!" Clarence brought the large kitchen knife down and a shot was fired. The knife clattered to the ground and he fell to the side. The little girl screamed and Morgan put his gun away, rushing to her side and picking her up.
