Morgan glared at the waitress every time she walked past their table whilst Reid was completely oblivious to the action. Normally, Morgan would've congratulated him for getting so much attention but Spencer was his date tonight and he didn't like Spencer being ogled by random women. Derek hated it, actually. As soon as he dropped him off at his home, Derek sighed like a teenager in high school. Was all that really real? He really couldn't fathom such a world where he was actually going on dates with the genius doctor.
Morgan smiled to himself as he drove home, feeling like one of those guys in romance movies were they would swoon after a measly date. He couldn't Reid could make him feel this way so easily.
As soon as he entered his apartment, his phone rang and Derek groaned. He prayed that it wouldn't be a case.
"Hello?" he answered.
"I really hope I'm not interrupting your date," Garcia prayed. Morgan chuckled and sighed, already grabbing his go-bag.
"Fortunately for you, it just ended a few minutes ago," he replied.
"Oh thank baby Jesus," she sighed in relief. "In that case, well we have a case."
"I know, be there in a few," he hung up and bashed his head into the couch cushion for good measure before heading out the door he had just entered less than five minutes ago.
Morgan: Do you want me to come pick you up?
He waited a few seconds for a response as he buckled his seat belt.
Pretty Boy: Yeah sure.
Derek grinned and started the engine, driving back to Reid's apartment complex. He picked him up and they arrived quickly at headquarters.
"Sorry to ruin Friday night, guys," Hotch said as he entered the briefing room. "Garcia, go ahead."
As soon as they were briefed they boarded the jet and were on their way to San Francisco.
"Hey, look," Spencer turned to Derek and handed him a slip of paper. The older agent frowned and unfolded it, staring at a phone number.
"What is it?" Morgan cocked his head to the side slightly.
"It's the waitress' number, she gave it to me when you went to the restroom," he shrugged nonchalantly. Derek scowled, trying not to make it obvious but it didn't really work.
"What's got you worked up?" Rossi questioned. Reid's eyes widened, looking away immediately.
"Nothing, Reid just reminded me of something I'd rather not think about," Morgan looked at the younger pointedly and Spencer shrugged sheepishly. Rossi looked at the two funny but didn't say anything, rather keeping his thoughts to himself. "Why did you give it to me?" Derek crumpled it.
"I didn't know what else to do with it. It's not like I wanted it," Spencer answered.
"What about throwing it away?" he raised an eyebrow.
"I figured you would've been upset if I hadn't told you," Morgan thought about it for a second.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," he admitted, tucking the crumpled piece of paper into his pocket to throw away when they landed. The two didn't talk too much after that, preferring to avoid any unnecessary profiling from the others.

"Now that was a rough case," Morgan let out a puff of air as he dropped into his seat.
"Tell me about it," JJ sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. There were multiple kids involved and so it had obviously affected her a lot as per usual. It had taken a week and a half to track and arrest the unsub.
"I just hope we never have another one like it," Emily gulped and there was a unanimous murmur of agreement. Reid sat across from Morgan next to JJ and Rossi perked a brow.
"What? No cuddling this time?" he asked. Emily snorted and Reid's face heated up in embarrassment.
"Shut up, man," Morgan tried to laugh it off but Emily had a knowing smirk on her face and Derek knew she knew something.
"I thought it was pretty cute last time," JJ grinned.
"Me too," Emily agreed.
"Okay, you guys are just crazy," Morgan shook his head.
"Are we really?" Rossi narrowed his eyes at the muscular agent.
"Most definitely," Reid nodded his head. "Besides, Morgan snores too loud," the accused man gaped at Spencer.
"Oh shut up, you were basically dead. How would you know?" Derek retorted.
"Actually, when the mind is asleep--" he started but JJ rolled her eyes playfully.
"Okay, okay, we're sorry we brought it up," she put her hands in surrender and everyone started laughing, Reid turning a deeper shade of red with a small smile playing on his lips. Hotch only watched with a playful smile and Morgan hoped Hotch wasn't analyzing the situation like he usually does with everything. It's not that Hotch did it with the intention to avoid their privacy, far from it actually, it was more instinctual and sometimes accidental as subtle details were more than obvious to the eyes of a profiler such as himself.
The ride back was more or less quiet on the way back, small conversations here and there but of course everyone would sneak glances between Reid and Morgan a couple of times. Morgan figured they wanted more evidence as if to prove a building theory but they weren't getting any from Morgan and Reid had fallen asleep.
"Drinks on me?" Rossi offered as they all made it back to headquarters.
"Oh I'm so in," Emily grinned.
"Ooh, don't forget about me!" Garcia scuttled in.
"I need some sleep," JJ shook her head.
"Me too," Reid agreed.
"Have fun, I have paperwork to do," Hotch waved at us. Everyone groaned and Rossi dramatically rolled his eyes.
"They're still gonna be here tomorrow, come on, Aaron. A night without paperwork won't kill you," he pointed out, his hands outstretched for emphasis. Hotch rolled his eyes.
"Fine," he sighed and the rest of the team cheered. They began talking and Morgan looked over at Reid.
"Do you want me to take you home?" he asked. Spencer shook his head no.
"JJ can take me home, you should go," the doctor smiled small at the agent.
"Are you sure?" he perked a brow and Spencer nodded.
"Yes, I'm sure."
"Alright," Morgan grinned and they all piled into the elevator. Reid and he stood in the far back, pressed against the wall of the elevator, their hands brushing slightly as they were all packed in pretty tightly. Morgan watched joyously as Spencer's cheeks tinted and in an utterly adorable fashion.
"See you Monday kid," Spencer smiled and nodded before he walked off with JJ. Kid wasn't really a term he felt comfortable using to address Reid anymore but he used it for the sake of keeping normality around his team.
"Let's go get drunk," Emily grinned and everyone laughed.
