I woke up in my room for the last time. I didn't bother changing my clothes, brushing my hair or eating breakfast. I put on my jacket, grabbed my bag, and my hoodie to put on over my jacket once I left school grounds.
My mom said goodbye, and that she hoped I had a good day at school. I told her thanks in an empty tone, and went on my way.
I decided to enter the school after all, to say goodbye to Lavontrae. He was speechless as I started to leave, until he grabbed my wrist.
"Please don't go.."
I took my wrist away without saying a word. He looked at me, pleading, but finally gave up and let me go. With my suicide notes in the hands of Sandra, I no longer had to speak.
And with that, I ditched my backpack behind the choir building and left through the gap in the fence. I walked in the neighborhood behind the school for about 15 minutes when a police car drove by. The disguise worked; the police didn't stop to acknowledge me.
Eventually I hit a busy road. I was familiar with where it went, so I followed it up to the road I was planning on taking out of town.
As I walked, I felt nothing. The voices were consoling me, saying that it was for the best and that I was doing the world a favor. That everyone else would be okay. I listened, but still felt nothing. I only felt defeat.
With only a few breaks here and there, no food, and no water, I started to feel the world spin around me as I reached the city limits. I heard nothing but cars, saw nothing but blurry buildings, and felt nothing but my feet stumbling beneath me.
Then I hit the ground, and everything was black.
