The Kybuck Clan Volume II (RWBY X Star Wars)

Chapter One - New Rivals

At Beacon Academy, teams from all over Remnant come to Vale for the Vytal Festival. One day in the city of Vale, the Kybuck Clan walk the streets to Vale to find that there were more people than usual.

Gungi: <Wow! There's a lot more people than usual!>

Ganodi: Guess that means the Vytal Festival is getting closer. I wonder how that's gonna go down.

Petro: Here's a little spoiler, we're gonna kick butt!

Katooni rolled her eyes at Petro's confidence. As they were walking, Katooni bumps into a pale looking man with black hair and pale eyes. He wore dark clothing with a double bladed spear sheathed on his back.

Katooni: I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump in to you!

???: It's quite all right. I probably should've watched where I was going. This is my first time in Vale.

Zatt: You here for the Vytal Festival?

???: As a matter of fact, I am. My team and I will be representing Shade Academy in Vacuo. Where are my manners? My name is Mordred de Sable, leader of Team SHDW.

Katooni: A pleasure to meet you, Mordred. I'm Katooni and these are my friends Petro, Zatt, Ganodi, Gungi and Byph. We're the Kybuck Clan from Beacon.

Mordred: What an odd name. Not to mention that a six person team is uncommon. You certainly have the numbers advantage!

Petro: Where's the rest of your team?

Mordred: I went ahead of them. I wanted to explore the city for a bit. I've always had an interest in Vale and so many wonderful things about Beacon so I thought I'd take a moment to take in the scenery.

Katooni immediately saw a man with a deep fascination of the world around him. There was something about Mordred that interested her. Mordred then looks to see his team approaching him.

Mordred: Looks like I didn't make it far. Allow me to introduce my team. This lovely young woman is Circe Hemlock.

Circe approached them and bowed her head. She wore a purple combat dress. Standing next to Circe was a lanky looking man with a hunched back and a wild look in his eyes.

Mordred: This is Deimos Enyalius. He's a.....interesting character. And the big man standing next to him is Grendel Wolfram. He's not much of a conversationalist, but he's quite the splendid warrior.

Katooni: Greetings, Team SHDW. On behalf of the Kybuck Clan and Beacon Academy, I would like to welcome you to Vale.

The members of Team SHDW were silent as Katooni as well as the rest of the Kybuck Clan felt awkward. Mordred soon broke the tension.

Mordred: You'll have to forgive my team. Vacuo is a....much different place than Vale and we have much to do.

Katooni: I understand. I don't wish to distract you from your duties.

Mordred: It's no problem, Katooni. In fact, you and your team seem like very pleasant company. For now, we must take our leave, but I have a feeling this will not be the last time we meet.

Mordred then grabbed Katooni's hand and kissed it, causing her to blush. Petro immediately felt uncomfortable with Mordred's gesture, but he kept his cool.

Mordred: Farewell.

With that, Mordred and the rest of Team SHDW took their leave. After that, the Kybuck Clan took their leave and made their way back to Beacon.

Zatt: Looks like we got tight competition. The Vytal Festival should definitely be interesting.

Byph: I wonder how Team SHDW is gonna be.

Petro: They can't be that good.

Katooni: You really think so?

Petro: What can those guys do what we can't? And besides, there's gonna be a bunch of teams participating in the Vytal Festival.

Zatt: What's the matter, Petro? Jealous?

Upon hearing this, Petro grew annoyed. At the same time, he began to blush. He refused to let his fellow Jedi see it.

Petro: Real funny, Zatt. I'm just saying that maybe you're over hyping Team SHDW. I mean we haven't seen them fight. Meanwhile we can use the Force!

Zatt: We really need to find out what's the deal with those weapons.

Petro: Let's just head back to Beacon and get to the bottom of this!

With that, the Kybuck Clan began the journey back to Beacon. Meanwhile at the warehouse, Cinder and her allies continue to plan their operation in Vale when Mercury spots four figures entering the warehouse.

Mercury: Looks like we got company.

Team SHDW then enters the warehouse. Darth Jadus then approaches them. They immediately bow before him.

Mordred: Apologies for the delays, my lord. The travel from Vacuo to Vale had some...unexpected delays.

Darth Jadus: It matters not, Mordred de Sable. All that matters is that you are here to do my bidding.

Mordred: What is thy bidding, my lord?

Darth Jadus: You and your team will continue your role. Observe those around you. Await my orders.

Mordred: As you decree, my lord.

With that, Mordred and the rest of Team SHDW rose and left the warehouse. Darth Jadus then turns his attention to Cinder.

Darth Jadus: Team SHDW will act as my hand in this operation. They will work alongside you. As the Hands of Jadus, their life holds more meaning than yours. They are your betters.

Cinder: As long as they know who they serve, I don't care what they are.

Darth Jadus showed no interest in Cinder's words as he walked away from her. Cinder then turned to Emerald and Mercury.

Cinder: Once we get to Beacon, we'll need to keep a close eye on these....Hands of Jadus.

With that, Cinder along with Emerald and Mercury left the warehouse and began making their way to Beacon to advance their plans.
