The Kybuck Clan Volume II (RWBY X Star Wars)

Chapter Five - A New Tutor

At the incident at the Dorms, the Kybuck Clan and Huyang made their way to Ozpin's office where he and Glynda Goodwitch were waiting. Immediately all eyes fell on Huyang. 

Huyang: You must be Headmaster Ozpin! A pleasure to make your acquaintance!  

Ozpin: Doctor Oobleck informed me of your...arrival. He wasn't lying in his description. 

Huyang: You have quite a wonderful teacher in your staff if I say so myself! 

Ozpin smirked as he took a sip from his mug. 

Ozpin: Your opinion is both noted and agreed. Now your arrival has caused...quite a stir. We've never seen a robot of such...advanced AI. Not even in Atlas. 

Huyang: There is a reason for that. My maker was a genius ahead of his time. I was built with the purpose of construction and teaching. 

Glynda: And who was your maker?

Huyang found himself in a tricky situation. He was built in over a thousand years ago and his maker was long dead. Despite this, he respected the Kybuck Clan's desire for discretion about their Jedi origins. 

Huyang: I'm afraid my programming forbids me from answering that question. My maker was an extremely private man. In fact, he constructed me to conduct his various businesses in his name. One of my duties in fact was as a Professor in the private academy that these fine youngsters attended. 

Ozpin took note of Huyang's answer. He knew full well that both he and the Kybuck Clan were not from Remnant. Despite this, he kept his silence about it. 

Ozpin: Your students have proven to be most excellent students. You must be very proud of them. 

Huyang: Beyond words, Headmaster. 

Ozpin smiled as he took another sip of his mug. He found Huyang to be very fascinating. He had never seen a Droid much like Huyang. He then turned to the Kybuck Clan. 

Ozpin: Your professor's arrival has caused quite a stir, wouldn't you say?

Katooni: We recently came into contact with him after many years. His...maker died recently. 

Petro: His maker was the Headmaster of the academy and we were all close to him. We were like his kids. He left Professor Huyang to us in his will. We were unaware of this until today. 

Ozpin became interested in Petro's statement. While he knew that the statement wasn't exactly true, he trusted his students. 

Ozpin: A shame. I would've loved to have met this mysterious Headmaster of yours. He must've been quite the headmaster to have guided such capable and exemplary students. It is clear that my judgement to have you attend this academy was correct. 

The Kybuck Clan were confused at Ozpin's statement. They all knew that he saw their ship and knew well that he knew that they weren't from Remnant. Despite this, Ozpin played his role well. 

Glynda: Now we must discuss the matter of Huyang's....stay. It's obvious that he cannot be enrolled as a student and our staff has no need of more teachers. 

At that point, the Kybuck Clan to worry about Huyang. They had no answer as to justify his stay. Their worries were soon put to rest by Ozpin. 

Ozpin: Perhaps there is a way to satisfy all parties, Miss Goodwitch. Doctor Oobleck has put in a...considerable word of recommendation for Professor Huyang. It was quite extensive. It seems our mechanical friend made quite the impression on our colleague. 

Zatt: He certainly did....

Ozpin: While it is unfortunate that we cannot hire him as a teacher, we cannot separate the professor from his former students. The Headmaster has gifted Professor Huyang as a final gift to our students. With that being said, Professor Huyang shall be granted a place at Beacon Academy as the Kybuck Clan's personal tutor. With this, we will honor their headmaster's final wishes. 

Huyang: I will also be more than happy to tutor any students who wish to seek my assistance! I will however need time to...adjust to my new living spaces. A week will suffice.

Ozpin smiles as he presses a button on his intercom. He then makes an announcement to the school.

Ozpin: Students, this is Headmaster Ozpin. As some of you may know, we have a new visitor to Beacon Academy. I am here to announce that this visitor will be in fact a tutor to help you with any problems you may have in your current studies. Starting next week, Professor Huyang will be available for tutoring. All questions shall be referred to myself or your teachers and a tutoring session shall be arranged. Thank you.

As Ozpin made his announcement, the Kybuck Clan breathed a sigh of relief as Huyang was granted a place to stay. 

Ozpin: It is done. Starting next week, Professor Huyang will be an...unofficial member of our staff. Due to his personal connection to you, Huyang will be living in your Dorms.

Katooni: Our Dorm room has more than enough room to accommodate Professor Huyang. 

Ozpin: Then the matter is concluded. You are dismissed. 

With that, the Kybuck Clan and Huyang left Ozpin's office. 

Zatt: Well that went well. How exactly is Professor Huyang is gonna teach Remnant's history?

Huyang: That won't be a problem. I just need access to a computer and I will download whatever I need into my memory banks.

Petro: You think you can download Remnant's entire history? 

Huyang: You underestimate me, young Petro. My memory banks contain the history of the Jedi Order as well as every Lightsaber ever made and the Jedi who built them. One planet's history will be elementary. 

Petro smirked as the Kybuck Clan and Huyang made their way back to the Dorms to help Huyang get the information he needs to properly fulfil his duties as a tutor for Beacon Academy.
