The Kybuck Clan Volume II (RWBY X Star Wars)

Chapter Two - Welcome To Beacon

At the start of the second semester at Beacon, students from all over Remnant arrive in preparations for the Vytal Festival. As this happens, the Kybuck Clan had witnessed a massive food fight in which only Petro participated. In the day that followed, the Kybuck Clan was with Team RWBY in their dorm room. Zatt had gained permission to look at their weapons. Petro soon joined Team RWBY in a game of Remnant: The Game. 

Ruby: Hmmmmm....All right...All right! Yang Xiao Long, prepare your kingdom for battle!

Yang: Bring it on!

As Team RWBY and Petro played the game, Zatt did some studies on the weapons of Team RWBY. As he did, he immediately saw something odd about the metal. After much study, Zatt was in total shock at what he discovered. 

Ganodi: Zatt? What's wrong?

Zatt: I know why our Lightsabers don't work on these weapons. These weapons are made of Songsteel. 

Upon hearing this, the Kybuck Clan was in shock. 

Byph: Songsteel?! You mean that extremely rare metal that's resistant to Lightsaber attacks?!

Zatt: The very same. Not just that, but these metals are pure Songsteel. 

Katooni: Are you sure?

Zatt: Positive. There's no doubt about it. These weapons are made of pure Songsteel. It seems to work in tandem with this Dust stuff. 

Meanwhile, Petro had kept a low profile in the game. He took over for Blake who had no interest in playing. As he played, Weiss turned to Petro. 

Weiss; It seems Yang has you beat. Maybe if you spent more time building up your defenses rather than attack, maybe you wouldn't be in this situation. 

Petro smirked as he kept his calm demeanor. 

Petro: Maybe it was all a diversion. You see Yang, while you were occupied with fighting my boys, I sent in a squadron of commandos to infiltrate your capital and totally wrecked it! 

At Petro said this, the holoprojection of Yang's capital was up in smoke with little commando holograms exiting the city and boarding a gunship. 

Petro: And just like that, I totally conquered your kingdom! And that means I win! 

Petro's victory in the game was a shocker to Team RWBY. He played the long game as a new player and managed to come out on top. The victory was short lived when Sun Wukong appeared outside the window. 

Sun: Sup losers.

Ruby: Hey Sun!

Standing on the ledge next to Sun was his friend and teammate Neptune who was trying hard not to freak out and fall. 

Sun: Ruby, Yang, Blake...Ice Queen.

Before Weiss could react to Sun's introduction, Zatt gave Team RWBY back their weapons with a shocked look on his face. 

Petro: What's up, Zatt? You look like you've just seen a ghost.

Katooni: I don't mean to pry, but what kind of material did you use to build your weapons? 

Ruby: Um....metal? 

Weiss: Only the finest metal Atlas has to offer!

Ganodi: That metal must've cost you an arm and a leg!

Blake: Not really. The metals we used for our weapons are pretty common in Remnant. 

As Blake said this, the Kybuck Clan was in complete shock about this. Petro however was simply confused. 

Petro: Can someone fill me in on what's going on?

Katooni: Give us a minute. 

The Kybuck Clan then pulled Petro outside Team RWBY's dorm to discuss Zatt's findings. 

Petro: What's going on? 

Katooni: Songsteel. The weapons are made of Songsteel.

Petro: Could you repeat that? I didn't quite get that last part. I'm pretty sure you just said that the weapons here are made of Songsteel. 

Zatt: Correction. Pure Songsteel. That's the big point. 

Upon hearing this, Petro was in shock. 

Petro: Pure Songsteel?! You must be joking! Songsteel is one of the most rare metals in the Galaxy!

Katooni: And based on what they said, Songsteel is pretty common here in Remnant. 

The revelation that a metal as rare as Songsteel is a common metal on Remnant was mind blowing to the Jedi of the Kybuck Clan. Songsteel's resistance to Lightsaber attacks was well known across the Galaxy. 

Petro: Good thing this planet was isolated from the rest of the Galaxy. We might've been in big trouble if the Separatists got their hands on it. 

Katooni: Or worse, if the Empire got their hands on it. 

Gungi: <If Songsteel is common, then that means almost if not everyone is Remnant has weapons made of Songsteel.>

Zatt: Meaning our Lightsabers wouldn't be useful against those weapons. 

Petro: Ah Sithspit! 

As Petro said this, Cinder Fall along with Emerald and Mercury walked past them. They soon ran into Team RWBY who proceeded to point them in the direction of the visiting dormitories. 

Cinder: Thanks. Maybe we'll see you around.

Ruby: Yeah, maybe!  Oh, uh, and welcome to Beacon!

Cinder simply grins as she exits the building, leaving the Kybuck Clan to ponder their next move. Meanwhile, Cinder and her allies had left the Beacon dorms when they ran into Team SHDW.

Mordred: Cinder Fall. 

Cinder: Mordred de Sable. I've been expecting you. 

Mordred: I assume you're here under orders from Lord Jadus. 

Cinder: I came here under orders from the true master. You would be wise to remember that. 

Mordred simply smiles as he approaches Cinder. 

Mordred: Walls have ears. Doors have eyes. Trees have voices. Beasts tell lies. Beware the rain. Beware the snow. Beware the man, you think you know. 

With that, Cinder along with Emerald and Mercury would work with Team SHDW, but Cinder would keep her eye on the Hands of Jadus. For now, they would work together as collaborators working for the same goal.
