After accepting the Trials given to them by the Lost Jedi, the Kybuck Clan began walking through the corridors of the temple. With each step they take, the Jedi Younglings felt chills running up and down their spines. In the darkness, the Kybuck Clan ignited their Lightsabers to illuminate the path. They began to hear whispers echoing through the corridors.
Byph: Guys?
Petro: We all hear it, Byph. Keep your cool.
Byph: R...right.
Suddenly, blaster fire was heard. Without hesitation, the Kybuck Clan rushed to where the fighting was. They soon saw Clone Troopers pinned down by what appeared to be a Separatist battalion.
Gungi: <Clones?! What are they doing here?!>
Ganodi: This is bad! If the Clones find us, then we're putting everyone in serious danger!
As the Clones fought on, General Grievous soon arrived and began cutting down the Clones. The Clones fired on Grievous, but the Droid General proved too much for them.
General Grievous: Is this all the Republic has to offer?!
At this point, the Kybuck Clan were torn. The Clones had betrayed them, yet General Grievous was a danger in of himself.
Katooni: We...we have to help them! They won't last long against Grievous!
Petro: Are you kidding me?! They tried to kill us!
Katooni: That may be, but that doesn't mean we should just let them die!
Ganodi: I hate to say it, but Katooni's right!
Katooni and Ganodi then rushed to General Grievous and engaged him in a Lightsaber Combat.
Zatt: Well Petro, this is your chance to kill General Grievous.
With that, Petro and Zatt along with Gungi and Byph joined Katooni and Ganodi in fighting General Grievous. The infamous Droid General cackled at the sight of the Jedi.
General Grievous. You have made a fatal mistake facing me in combat, little Jedi! I have slayed countless of your kind! Your Lightsabers will make fine additions to my collection!
Under normal circumstances, fighting alongside the Clones would be a relief to the Younglings. But because of what the Clones have done, they were constantly paranoid of the Clones. Despite having the numbers, the Kybuck Clan was overpowered by Grievous.
General Grievous: I've mastered your weapon! And combined that skill with the speed only a machine is capable of! How can any living being stand against me?!
At this point, the Kybuck Clan found themselves in an unwinnable battle. Grievous proved too much for them. Along with that, they were constantly looking over their shoulders watching for the Clones.
Byph: This is seriously bad!
Katooni: We can't hope to beat Grievous while watching our backs! We...we have to dedicate everything we have to fighting Grievous!
Petro: Are you serious?! Those Clones could shoot us in the back the first chance they get!
Zatt: Petro's right! How do we know the Clones won't attack us?!
Katooni: We have no choice! If we keep looking over our backs, then the Clones will be the least of our concerns! We must trust in the Force!
The Kybuck Clan found themselves cornered by Grievous with the Clones firing on him. Despite the possible threat of the Clones, the Kybuck Clan focused on fighting Grievous. As they fought the Droid General, the Kybuck Clan continued to block his attacks.
General Grievous: You cannot win this duel! You seek only to delay me! You will not escape me! You will all die knowing you have failed! Failed your friends! Failed your Order! Your names will be forgotten! All trace of your existence extinguished! The only reminder that any of you existed will be the Lightsabers hanging with those of the others I killed!
Katooni: You're wrong, Grievous! The Force fights with us!
Petro: We'll turn you to scrap!
With that, the Kybuck Clan launched a coordinated attack against Grievous. Gungi and Byph unleashed a powerful Force Push which stunned Grievous. Zatt and Gungi then severs two of Grievous's arms. Petro then jumps on Grievous's back and plunges his Lightsaber down the Droid General's neck while Katooni lands a thrust into Grievous's vital organs. With a dying wail, General Grievous collapsed to the ground.
Petro: Sithspit....I can't believe we actually killed Grievous....
Before the Kybuck Clan could rest, the remaining Clone Troopers approached them. The Jedi Younglings prepared their Lightsabers for combat.
Clone Trooper: Why did you help us? You knew we would kill Jedi. You could've just left us to die. Yet you not only stayed behind, but you helped us.
Katooni: Because you needed our help. We...we couldn't sit by and allow anyone to die.
Clone Trooper: Even if they were your enemies?
The Clone Troopers then readied their blasters and aimed them right at the Jedi. As Petro and the others readied for a fight, Katooni simply sat down and meditated.
Petro: Katooni! What are you doing?!
Katooni maintained silence as she meditated. The rest of the Kybuck Clan soon followed Katooni's instruction and began to meditate. Soon enough, the Clones vanished.
Gungi: <What the...where did the Clones go?!>
Petro looked around and saw that Grievous's body was gone.
Petro: Hey! Where's Grievous?!
Katooni: This is part of the Trials.
Ganodi: Talk about a trial....
Petro: Looks like we can say we took down Grievous!
Zatt: Guess all you're missing is that duel against Obi-Wan Kenobi....
With that, the Kybuck Clan continued on with their Trials. Meanwhile, Professor Huyang and Ozpin waited for the Kybuck Clan to complete their trials.
Ozpin: This is such a curious structure, Professor. Bartholomew would be most impressed.
Huyang: There is more to this structure than meets the eye, Headmaster.
Ozpin became more interested in the temple. Meanwhile, Huyang continued to put his faith in the Kybuck Clan as they continued with their trials.
