Lia had finally awoken after a long inner battle and finally figuring out what her power is. But also, where her heart truly is. Looking around the room, she realized she was in a Japanese style room and had woken up on a futon rather than in her bedroom upstairs. Another thing that was strange was that Kazuki wasn't there.

She finally heard the door slide open and was happy to see that Kazuki was there.

"Kazuki," she said with a smile on her.

"You're finally awake."

Lia nodded. "Yeah. How long was I out?"

"A good two days," he chucked and then sat down beside her. "But that's alright. You can never tell how long these things are going to last."

Lia looked outside and the sunset colours of the sky shined brightly as the sun was just beginning to set.

"That a pretty long time but, I finally know what my power is! And that I'm supposed to get my own sword made..."

"There's no need for that," Kazuki cut in. "I actually have one that I would like to give to you."

"Really."

Kazuki nodded. "But first there's something I have to tell you."

"Okay sure. What is it?"

"Do you remember when Himeko told you about the Komatsuzaki clan being wiped out?"

Lia nodded slowly. "Yes.

"Well," Kazuki explained. "Himeko only knows the story through me, but only what I've told her. Did you know that I used to have a wife over 200 years ago?"

Lia's heart sank when she heard that. She felt a small bit of jealous burning deep within her but she quickly buried it as she told herself that she wasn't even brave enough to tell him how to felt. Instead, Lia just shook her head and put a smile on her face.

"I want to show you what happened that night but, I must tell you that she looked just like you."

"She looked like me?"

"Yes. There are some differences like her hair was much longer than yours but, that was common in the 1800s."

"I see," she said.

Kazuki put his hand on her shoulder. "It's nothing to worry about. I'm telling you so you're not shocked when you see her." Then he took her hand in his and gently squeezed it. "I'm going to take you into my past. Are you ready?"

Lia took in a deep breath and nodded when she was ready. Then Kazuki chanted a spell and they were out of the Komatsuzaki manor and outside what appeared to be Japanese castle grounds in the Edo period.

"This was the imperial palace when my father was still in charge of the planet," Kazuki explained. "This was back in 1817 when Himeko was born. This is the day my entire family was going to be betrayed by my father's most trusted royal guard. He is now in charge of this planet and the palace now has a western appearance."

Kazuki began walking ahead and Lia followed behind until they came to a room of a couple who looked like the young Kazuki and a Japanese princess version of Lia. She was playing the koto while he listened to her with his arm gently around her.

"This was my late wife," Kazuki explained. "Her name was Rina. I was about 24 years old here. She was 23. We were married when I was 19."

Lia nodded while she listened to his story. Then Rina's koto playing was interrupted when a messenger entered the room.

"Kazuki-Sama. You're mother has gone into labour."

"Understood," the young Kazuki replied. The messenger left and Rina got up to follow. "Are you going to be alright?"
