Chapter 13
Liam
"I'm glad I went to Hawaii
I'm glad I didn't change my mind
I'm glad to have met the girl named Avery.
I'm glad I went to the beach that day,
I'm glad I knew how to surf
I'm glad we saved the kid, together.
I'm glad she didn't know me
I'm glad she spoke to me
I'm glad that I'm glad to have met her.
Like I said she's the most beautiful girl
I have met.
She has had my heart ever since.
Oh baby, I dream about you, I dream
About us, I dream about our dreams together.
I'm glad I spoke to you.
I'm glad I fell for you
I'm glad you felt the same way,
Coz this is going to survive for a long time.
I'm glad I didn't know you
I'm glad I forgave you
I'm glad I felt this way towards you
Because I am happy now.
I have never let somebody in
In sooo long
And it is time that I let you in.
Like I said you're the most beautiful person
I have met.
You have had my heart ever since.
Oh baby, I dream about you, I dream
About us, I dream about our dreams together.
Oh my Ash! I promise that.....
I promise that I will be with you
I promise that I will stay honest
I promise to fight for you and
Never let you go.
You are the best thing that has
Happened to me
And I have glad to have met you, Avery
And I am glad to have met you too, Liam," we sing, finishing the recording of Avery's and mine collaboration song.
"Wow! That was amazing," she said removing her headphones as we finished listening to the song we had released. Avery had helped the songwriters and I write this song and I could tell that she was a natural.
The song sounded amazing especially with Avery's and my voice synchronizing. It sounded perfect together, to be honest. Our managers didn't want to waste any time in releasing the song so it was out already now for a couple of days.
Everyone loved it. They loved Avery's magical voice because she sings like an angel and mesmerises everyone when she sings. She captures everyone's heart with just her voice and that was one of the reasons I loved her.
"The song is on the top of the billboard," Oliver Hill, my manager said and the look on Avery's face made my day.
"This is crazy!" she exclaimed and I nod as she kisses me.
"You are amazing," I whisper and she smiles. She was getting a lot of hype and was very famous right now. Everyone looked up to her and knew who she was. She had become a celebrity herself.
I know that everyone says that she got the stardom because she was dating me but it was only partially true. She became famous for her talents and due to her kindness despite getting famous.
"My parents want to meet you Rookie," I say and she was shocked. My parents have always wanted to meet Avery because they knew how much I love her and how happy she makes me. Despite us only being together for 5 months now, I feel like I've known her all my life.
"When?" she asked and I smile.
"Today," I say and she choked on her coffee. Well that wasn't the reaction I expected.
"Ash, you tell me now that your parents want to meet me today?" she says furiously and I shrug my shoulder. I didn't mean to drop the bomb like that because I actually forgot about it since I was busy.
"You will do great Rookie," I say rubbing her back and she sighs. She goes to the makeup room to check her reflection and she was dressed well in her pink denim skirt and a white tank top so we decided to head to the car which was here to pick us up.
"Mom!" I say hugging my mom as soon we go home. I have missed her because I haven't visited her in a long time since I was working out late.
"My darling how are you?" she asked kissing my forehead and I smile. Dad hugs me too.
"Mom and dad, this is Avery," I say introducing Avery to my parents and they smile widely.
"Mr. and Mrs. Carson, it is great to finally meet you," she said hugging my parents and they smiled widely at her.
"Call us Eden and David honey. We have heard so much about you," dad said looking at Avery and Avery smiled.
"You are more beautiful in real life than he explained to us," mom said and Avery looked at me and I smile. We gather around a table made for us and we sit down. There were others in the restaurant too and I saw them take pictures of us.
"So, how is it being in a relationship that's so public?" mom asked and Avery smiled.
"I mean it's the same but like there's like the whole world watching you grow in your relationship," she says and I smile.
"What are your plans for the future then?" dad asked and Avery shrugs.
"We like the way things are right now. It's pretty calm actually and we will see where time will take us," she says.
"How long have the both of us been together now Ash?" she asked looking at me.
"6 months now. Isn't it amazing?" I say and she nods. 6 months together with her felt like bliss. It felt like I've known her all my life. When I looked at her talking to my parents with that huge smile on her face, I realized that I love this woman.
"So how did you both meet?" Avery asked my parents and they looked at each other.
"The both of us are lawyers and we went to the same college, Harvard but we hated each other. It wasn't until we graduated and worked on our first case that we spoke and fell for each other instantly and after a year of dating, we got married and we were blessed with Liam and here we are," my mom said and Avery looked so happy.
"That sounds like a fairy tale," she said dreamily and sipped on her drink as the waiter took our empty plates and cutlery away from the table.
"Avery?" I call her as we stand up and she nods looking at the view in front of her. It was the evening, so the sun was setting at the right time. My parents were walking in front of us with their hands together in each other's arms.
"Rookie?" I say and she turns back and looks at me surprised. She was about few steps ahead of me so she came back for me and looked into my eyes.
"Yes?" she asked and I look deep into her blue-green eyes. Her eyes looked amazing as the sun hit it, making her more attractive and irresistible. She looked up at me with a childish grin on her face.
"Rookie, I love you," I say and she grins. This was the first time I told someone that I loved them despite having been in many relationships.
"And I love you too Ash," she said going on her tip toes to kiss me and I lean in. It was just perfect. I told the girl of my dreams that I loved her and she said it back to me.
There were people around us, taking our pictures but it didn't bother us because we were so happy in each other's arms. We smiled as we pulled away from the kiss and my parents looked so happy looking at us.
