Avery

"It's delicious isn't it?" Jennifer, Hailey's mom says as we eat our desert. I was currently at their house having lunch on our day off along with Jacob and Liam was with his new wife, Hailey. They got married about four months ago after a 2 month engagement and I obviously didn't go the wedding even though I was invited.

"It truly is," Liam replies smiling. I was happy now with Jacob because he treated me right and Liam seemed to be happy with Hailey but of course it did hurt me but I guess I'm used to it.

"Avery, come on. Have some more," Jennifer says and I smile.

"No thank you Jenny. I'm full," I say but she insists on feeding me another serving and I laugh as she puts another piece of her homemade chocolate cake that I love.

"Avery, I made this cake just for you honey. How can you eat only a piece of it?" Jennifer says and I smile. Jacob and I have been together for 6 months now and I'm happy with him.

"Mom, but I like your cake too. Didn't you make it for me?" Hailey asks staring at me.

"Of course I made it for everyone Hailey but I made it especially for Avery because she only comes here so very rarely and she's my favorite," Jennifer says holding my hand and I smile. Everyone knew that Jennifer liked me more than anyone else present here. She said that I was easy to talk to and that we got along well.

"Well, you guys carry on. I have to take this call. It's from my manager," I say as I stand from the table and walk away from the gathering. Jennifer had an amazing property with good greenery in it. It was quite peaceful here.

"Hey Emma," I say picking up the call but she sounded worried.

"Avery, where are you right now?" she asks.

"I am at the Neill's house having lunch. Why?" I reply walking.

"Avery? Your song 'It Hurts' and 'I forgot to love you' is leaked," Emma says and I was shocked.

"What? How?" I ask as my heart beats fast.

"On social media. We have put our best trackers to get it all down and track down the person responsible for it," she says and I couldn't believe it. But she reassured me that the song was taken down from all the websites and they were tracking down the person responsible for it.

I walk back to the table where everyone stopped what they were doing to look at me.

"Love? You alright?" Jacob asks and I nod as tears fell down my cheek. He hugged me as I cried against his chest.

"Someone leaked my song. They leaked, 'It hurts', the song I never wanted the world to hear because of how personal it was for me," I say and he rubs my back and cobs my hair with his fingers.

"It's alright Avy," he says and I nod.

"They have taken down the song from the internet and now are tracking the culprit behind it," I say as I sit down next to Jacob. He doesn't let my hand go and we sit there waiting for the call as everyone went inside.

The happy me,

The bright me.

The laughing me,

The loved me,

The you and me,

The gone me.

Sure I can delete your photo,

Your texts and your number.
