Jacob

"Avery this way! Jacob this way!" the photographers screamed as we stood on the red carpet, posing for them. They were screaming from all the directions and we did pose in different directions and moved along.

"You look hot," I whisper into her ear and kiss her head as she laughs. I whispered a joke that always made her laugh and now she was laughing her head off again but I loved the sound of her voice and I loved to see her laugh.

"Stop it," she says playfully hitting my arm as we walk a bit forward but she was smiling so wide. I bent down to pick up her long trail of her long red fitted, fishtail, asymmetric dress in a modern twist on a classic piece, featuring a one shoulder bodice, fitted fishtail skirt and a dramatic side drape detail.

Her look was completed with statement earrings, a sultry smokey eye and bold red lips. Her hair was parted in the side and gentle curls were placed beautifully on her hair and she indeed look fierce and bold.

I on the other hand was dressed in a red floral suit with a black unbuttoned shirt underneath it and black shoes to match Avery. My hair was gelled back to give me a classy look and I wore nothing else other than the watch Avery customized for me for our second year anniversary, my wedding ring and some rings she picked out for me.

People cheered as I picked up her dress from the behind and let her walk comfortably but I think that that was something every man should do. As she stopped, and turned around to give a kiss to show me her appreciation, I could smell her warm vanilla scent as she did so and I was mesmerized like I always did.

"Avery and Jacob! How are you guys?" an interviewer asks as we finish walking the red carpet.

"We are good. How are you?" I ask and she replies that she is doing well too.

"How are things going on in life?" she asks and I look at Avery who nods at me so I decide to answer it.

"Great actually. Avery has new things coming up, I have new things coming up and we are supporting one another so I would say that everything is going great," I say smiling and Avery smiles at me, encouragingly.

"This is your 8th year at the AMAs Avery, how does it feel?" she asks.

"It feels amazing. I can't believe that they are so kind to bring me here every year and give me so many wonderful opportunities that I can only dream of, so thank you AMAs," she says laughing at the end.

"Are you performing tonight?" she asks and Avery nods.

"Yes, I will be performing tonight but it won't be one of my songs. I will be doing a cover of songs I love the most and that inspire me," she says and I looked at her proudly.

"Are you nominated for any?" she asks and Avery nods.

"I am. Yes. I am nominated for Artist of the year, Collaboration of the year, Favorite social artist, Favorite pop/ rock female artist, Favorite pop/ rock album for ARBN and favorite music video for 'Sunflowers'," she says listing all of her nominations.

"That is a lot of them isn't it?" the interviewer asked and I shake my head.

"That is too little for the amount of talent Avery has," she says and Avery gives me a funny look.

"I know that she's giving me a funny look but I know that I speak for everyone when I say that she deserves all of the fame, recognition and appreciation she gets because never in my life have I seen someone who works so damn hard for her fans," I say and Avery leans back against my chest.

"Jacob's so supportive of you Avery," she says and Avery looks at me and smiles.

"Yes he is. He is my biggest fan too," she says making a pouty face and I laugh.
