Chapter 10

The burrow

I sat idly in the library my head resting on Williams's shoulder as he read me 'brother Grimms complete fairytales' I had changed slightly over the summer I cut my hair to (h/l) and my body had ever so slightly matured, a sudden bang caused William to stop reading and for me to sit up. Errol The Weasleys owl had smashed right into the window. William began to chuckle and I laughed way too hard for my own good gasping for air, I made my way over to the window and let the bird in taking the note from its mouth as I rubbed it gently Errol cooing happily

Dear (Name)

This is a letter to you (obviously) to ask if you would like to stay with us for a week as we will return to Hogwarts in a week or so! we expect Errol to return soon with your answer, I must go now! please bring some of those cookies you sent us for Ginny's birthday! she says thanks by the way!! ps. have you heard from Harry? PPS. we miss you! sighed- Ron, Fred, George and Ginny

I grinned and grabbed some parchment and a Quill 'Dear Ronald, quite delighted to hear from you, yes I will bring some of the cookies, no I haven't heard from Harry and I will come to the burrow tomorrow' I signed it and gave it to Errol who flew off with it "William, let's go to the kitchen!" I smiled and William let out a girlish giggle as he watched me run towards the kitchen following after me. I pulled out all the ingredients and began to make the cookies "what's the secret ingredient (Name)" William questioned and I smiled "Love.... and hazelnut cocoa spread" I winked and he laughed, placing the cookies in the oven I sat on the counter. Jinx entered the room "Oh~ (Name) what are you making" The elf sniffed the air a basket full of clean clothes in her arms "cookies, I'm going to see the Weasleys tomorrow and stay with them until school starts!" I grinned at the house-elf "have you asked your mother?" she questioned and my grin fell "oh no" I sighed "William make sure the cookie's don't burn" I pushed myself off the counter and began towards the staircase, my dress swishing on my thighs. I arrived at the big Mahogany door and knocked on it three times, they swung open and she looked up from her work "yes?" she looked me up and down "May I please go stay with the Weasleys mum, please" I shot her a pleading look and her face recoiled disgusted by the name. "No" she simply said looking back down at her work "Please" I begged and I still got the same answer. I continued to annoy the sour women until she finally gave in and I smiled "Thank you~" I sung exiting the office the doors slamming closed behind me.

I had my bags packed and was dressed and ready to go I admired my outfit a plain white dress, olive shoes and cardigan and a white headband to knit it all together I bid William goodbye kissing him softly on his cheek and hugged Jinx. Grabbing my bag and Dorian and stood at the fireplace. "The burrow!" I declared and erupted into green flames. I shot out of the Weasly's fireplace and dusted myself off. "Hello Mrs Weasly" I smiled and waved at the women "I come bearing gifts I smiled, this wasn't my first time in the burrow, in fact, it was my fourth I snuck off here a few times over the summer when I was extremely bored. She bustled over to me grinning, "hello dear, how many time's must I tell you to call me Molly" she helped me dust myself off and then took the large box of cookies from my arms placing them on the table she then took Dorian and let him down to run around. Ron hated Dorian always insisting she was going to eat scabbers but she would never, "Children (Name) is here" she shouted and the floor almost collapsed with them running down the stairs Ginny tackled me into a hug, in the few times I had been here Ginny had confided in me and spoke to me about many things, she was like a sister to me in all honesty, The twins were next squeezing me half to death and then Ron who did the same. "Where're the cookies?" Ron asked and I pointed at the counter and he ran off towards them hungrily. "Probably wasn't a great idea to wear white" I muttered, "Nonsense nothing a light bit of magic can't fix!" Molly smiled waving her wand around and I was all clean I thanked her and walked over to where the four Weasleys were stuffing their mouths, "Oi keep one for Percy and your father" I walloped Ron on his head and he just nodded. I sat down in the kitchen the Weasleys house had always felt more like home than mine ever did.

I had been staying at the Weasly's a week when the twins and Ron told me of there plan to save Harry from the smelly Dursley's and I told them that they may count me in. The clocked chimed 11pm and I sat up quickly looking at Ginny who was fast asleep I smiled at her what a wonderful young girl with so many secrets. I tiptoed out of the room and down the stairs to meet the boys, "so how are we gonna do this?" I tilted my head in confusion "we're taking dad's car!" the twins chanted in unison and I shrugged crawling into the back seat. The car took off and we were soaring through the sky, Finally reaching Harry's house.

There were bars on the poor boy's window and I was absolutely disgusted at the way Harry was being treated by these muggles. Harry sat up out of bed to see us outside the window "Ron?" he questioned rubbing his eyes "Hiya Harry" Ron grinned, "(Name), Fred, George? what are you guys doing here?!" he whispers yelled. "Saving you of course! now get your trunk" I smiled and Harry ran to gather his stuff. "Stand back Harry" Ron commanded attaching a hook to the bars and Fred stepped on the accelerator causing all the bars to fall off making a loud bang. Harry pushes the trunk over the sill into the boot, then scrambles through the window himself, Hedwig squawked and Harry turned around "Hedwig he gasps climbing out of the car to get the owl. He handed the bird to Ron who put it in the back. Harry's door swung open and there stood the Dudley's. "Petunia! he's getting away!" the man shrieked As Harry leaps for the windowsill, the man charged forward and snatches his ankle. "Harry" I gasp and the boy is trying to kick the man, harry began to slip "Hold on Harry!" Ron demanded and Harry nodded. "Oh no, boy! You and that bloody pigeon aren't going anywhere!" the man snapped. "step on it Fred" I insisted and the boy did as told the fat man falling out of the window and Harry climbing into the back seat sighing in relief, Harry opened the cage letting Hedwig fly behind us.

We reached the Burrow as the sky turned pink and Fred looked at us "Hurry! Let's nip inside before Mum wakes up!" and we all nodded in agreement sneaking inside, Harry looked around "It's not much but its home" Ron looked at him and harry gaped "I think it is brilliant!" Mrs Weasly enters the room "where... have... yous... been!!" she was furious she smiled sweetly at me and harry "Harry! how wonderful to see you" her smile dropping as she turned to the boys "Beds empty! No note! You could've died! You could've been seen! Roping poor (Name) into it as well the poor thing is probably scared for her life" I stifled a laugh. "They were starving him, Mum! There were bars on his window!" Ron responded and the women tutted "You best hope I don't put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley!" she grabbed his ear and twisted it she turned me harry and me "care for a spot of tea?" and Harry and I nodded, Ginny came running down the stairs "mummy, have you seen my jumper" she questioned she looked to see Harry squealed and ran up the stairs and I started laughing brushing my hair out of my face. "Ginny. Been talking about you all summer. Dead annoying, really." Ron looked at Harry who was confused.

Arthur entered the burrow giving out about work and the number of raids he began to question Harry about muggles, I didn't listen to much of the conversation too focused on eating I was starving in all honesty. I was sucked out of thought by Errol crashing into the window and I looked up laughing at the stupid owl. "that's Errol, George be a dear and fetch him will you?" Mrs Weasley questioned and George nodded going over to the now unconscious bird. "It's our Hogwarts letters, Harry's and (Name)'s are here too," George said handing out the letters. "Dumbledore must know you're here, Doesn't miss a trick, that man." Authur vocalised and I nodded in agreement "Well there's only one place we'll get all this. Diagon Alley" Molly spoke and we all squealed like school girls.

We stood in front of the fireplace talking about floo powder Ron went first, Harry next "Now remember harry speak clearly" I chimed and he nodded Molly giving him some floo powder. "D-Dia-gon Alley!" Harry stuttered.
