Chapter 86

Charlie stayed true to his word and we saw Draco and 99% of the other death eaters at dinner, all of them celebrating an engagement I didn't want to happen. Voldemort had a sickly smile on his face when he announced it alongside the Rowe's and my mother.

I ate silently as I allowed charlie to take control of all the conversations, his hand gripping my thigh tightly. I kept staring over at Draco always to find he was always staring back. Draco stood from the table saying he was quite fatigued and I watched as Charlie shot the boy a wink before shoving his tongue down my throat.

The ring I was presented with was large and extremely extravagant for no reason. I always hated these kinds of rings, my entire life I wanted a small one, dainty even. I waited a while before excusing myself insisting to Charlie I needed to use the bathroom. 

I moved quickly through the halls of Malfoy manor my steps placid and nimble, I was terrified someone would see me sneaking off to Draco's room and then Charlie would lt Draco be punished for his brash actions earlier. I knocked on the door before pushing it open.

"Draco?"

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I couldn't protect you, I let him have you" the blonde was curled up under his bedsheets as if he was hiding from the world, his clothes messily thrown throughout the room.

The room was completely trashed in what I would say was a fit of Draco's rage. the chairs turned the books all over the floor.

"don't be silly I don't need protecting" I moved from the door locking it as I made my way towards him sitting on the side of the bed, his hand slithered from underneath the sheets coming to a stop beside my own and I interlocked them.

"you do, you need to be protected at all costs, you're pure (name) I need you to be happy for my own good" his voice was quiet, slight cracks in his vocal cords protruding. His head popped out from underneath his covers, his face was red and puffy his nose blocked, he had been crying, big bad Draco Malfoy had been crying.

"come here" I opened my arms and h threw the bedsheets off himself before clinging to me tightly like a child who had just cut their knee, sniffling and blabbering. His cries suddenly became silent and he pushed himself away from my breasts.

"We could run away" his hands grasped my cheeks a pleading look in his eyes.

"we cant"

"We can, we can go far away from them, the whole way to America or even Japan, they wouldn't go that far-"

"we cant Draco, stop it"

"why not!"

"your mother, our friends..."

"I don't care! we'll owl them with someone else's owl! we'll write in code"

"stop it! stop! we cant you know we can't, your blinded Draco you don't know what you're saying"

"I do! I know that I'm in love with you!" his voice was ragged and angry and my eyes widened in shock.

"you don't.." I looked away from him focusing on the scattered books, His hand grasped my cheek tilting my head.

"I do, I've loved you for so long, I think I started liking you when I fell off my broom in the second year, you were so kind to me, even after all the horrible things I have done. I fell in love with you the night of the Yule ball when we danced, you felt so right being in my arms, I never wanted to let go"

"Draco..." my eyes were wide with his sudden love confession, his words spiralling through my head, as I squeeze my eyes close brushing my lips against before pulling away.

"I want to, be we cant do this"  I tried so hard to to start crying and throw myself into his arms telling him that I wish it was him instead of Charlie.

"we can, I'll kill him as long as we stay together" 

"I have an idea, but it might be a long shot"
