Royals (Draco Malfoy x Reader)

Chapter 68

It had been about a month and a half since William died, I had been beginning to recover, nothing interesting had happened besides the fact Umbridge had almost complete control of the school and Rons father, Arthur, had been attacked by Nagini, Voldemorts snake. I had spoken to Nagini very seldomly, she was quiet and cold and very rarely left her master's side.

 It was snowing heavily. I sat idly in the common room curled up on the sofa 'Pride and Prejudice' in my grasp, the blanket Draco had gotten me draped loosely around my body Dorian by my side. The cat let out a mewl before jumping off the sofa and roaming around the room. "(Name)!" I glanced up and removed my glasses from my face. Draco had entered the room two cups of steaming tea in his hands. He moved towards me handing me the cup "Milky, with 2 sugars just how you like it, I don't get it your sweet enough" he winked and I faked being sick "you repulse me Draco" I laugh lightly and the boy who let out a small smile. I had grown fond of the arrogant blonde. he had been there along with Daphne, Pansy and Aurelia when I had no one else. I took a sip of the read and it scalded me lightly "you idiot!" he cried with worry before turning to face me before beginning to laugh at my expression.

It was rather late in the day and I walked through the halls of Hogwarts in nothing more than my skirt shirt and tie, my robes and jumper draped across my arm. I reached where I wanted to be and knocked on the door. "Severus!" I called and the door swung open I peered into the room and there sat a very angry Harry Potter. He glanced at me and then away. Snape looked at the boy, then back to me stepping outside and closing the door. "Its Snape in Hogwarts Miss Windsor!" he hissed and I nodded. "I need a favour" I tried to smile and the Professor seemed intrigued. "which is?" he questioned. "do you know any professors that can teach me Occlumenty... you know with the whole big V thing Id rather be able to think without him invading my mind and killing off another one of my friends" I smiled sickly sweet but Snape knew all too well how fake it was. 

Severus had begun to be a lot kinder to me when my mother explained what happened to me to him. The black-haired man looked up and down the halls before nodding and opening the door again. "get in!" his voice is stern and I walk calmly into the room refusing to even look at Harry. In all honesty, I missed talking to the trio, but it would never be the same and I was okay with that. Hermione had tried to approach me many times and I would leave as soon as I saw her coming, Ron and Harry on the other hand had stopped glaring at me.

"I was just teaching Potter here... what you want to know" Snape motioned for me to take a seat beside the boy and so I did. "I shall demonstrate" Severus stood tall. "Draw your wand potter, you may use any spell you think will repel me" Snape spat and Harry drew his wand quickly and stands "Legimens!" Snape points his wand at Harry who staggers back and lets out a groan. 

"No!" Harry shouts and fires a spell from his wand, Snape dodges and Harry drops to the floor "you did it eventually, ideally you should do it with your mind! Legimens!" Snape seether, I didn't know why Harry was being thought Occlumenty, nor why Severus was letting me watch this. "Clear your mind!" I try to aid the boy who shoots me a glare unwanting of my help. "Your turn Windsor! Legimens!" I wasn't prepared for the spell but I did indeed try my hardest to block out the spell. "Good...very good" Snape comments. Harry asks him about the department of mysteries and I sit quietly observing.

 A scream echos through the castle and I shoot up putting on my jumper and robe drawing my wand. Snape apparates from the office and I consider doing the same, eventually deciding against it. I run through the corridors quickly towards the sounds of the shrill shrieking. 

I spot my own gang of Slytherins rushing towards them quickly, Daphne was the closet to me "Daph! whats going on?" I call and they all turn to face me. "Its Trelawney!" she calls back as I stand beside her staring out at the scene. Trelawney stands in the middle of the courtyard her bags surrounding her "You can't sack me!" the teacher sobs and Umbridge smiles bitterly "oh yes I can" Trelawney continues to sob "16 years I've worked here!" she cries as Mrs McGonagall moves forward to comfort her. "Remove yourself!" Umbridge roars and I look at my friends who are rather disgusted by the way Trelawney was being treated, yes maybe she was a bit loopy but she did not deserve this.

The doors slam open and out walks Dumbledore "she will not be leaving!" he bellows as students part allowing him a passage through. "I have the authority!" Umbridge shrieks, "Oh, I understand, you may fire my teachers but not banished them from the grounds!" he hisses at the toad of a woman. "Minvera, please escort Sybil back inside" he demands and the transfiguration teacher does as told. Umbridge looks horrified and Dumbledore spins on his heel marching away. "How... Exciting!!" Pansy squeals looking as the students begin to leave. "as much as I hate divination... that was not fair" I mutter sadly watching Trelawney being led away.

The next day I was trying my best to study before the doors of mine and Aurelia's room slam open. "Have you seen this!" Pansy walks in loudly Daphne and Draco trailing. she throws a newspaper at me 'mass break out from Azkaban' I gulp "Its all going to kick off now" I mutter watching the picture of Bellatrix Lestrange on the front of the newspaper move. "what's that supposed to mean?" Daphne questioned and I waved the girl off sharing a knowing look with Draco. "absolutely nothing" he swoops in "death eaters are just crazy" he finishes and the two girls nod.
