CHAPTER 88-GREAT LOSS
The Maheshwari's rushed to the Hospital.
"Jayp..Jayprakash Maheshwari konse ward mai hai?" Vivek asked the receptionist.
"Nanu.." Deepika and Rohan ran towards him as they were crying badly.
"mat ro bacho shayad yahi bhagwan ki icha hai.." Nanu said in a weak voice.
"papa aap aise hume chodkar nahi jaa sakte.."Vishaka said clutching Nanu's hand.Her state was devastated seeing Nanu's condition.Nanu had met an accident or a preplanned accident.
"ab jane wale kon rokh sakta hai.." Nanu said with a smile while Vivek held Vishaka's shoulder.
"Nanu.." Sameer murmered lowly seeing his such state he felt as if someone had stabbed him.
"yaha aa,Naina yaha aa beta.." Nanu said calling them and held both of their hands in his palm.
"tum dono ne jo promise kiya tha muje voh nibana.." Nanu mumbeled before he closed his eyes forever.Everyone were heartbroken seeing that tgeir NANU WAS NO MORE.Nanu who was the pillar of the Maheshwari's was no more.

Naina held Sameer's hand as they were doing the last rites of Nanu.Everyone were in tears except Sameer who tried to be strong for his family at this unexpected and great loss of their family.After completing all the rites that had to be done they came back to the mansion.Sameer went to Vivek's and Vishaka's room.
"Sameer?"
"voh dad Deepu aur Rohan ki shaadi ki baat karni thi.."Sameer said in a dull voice.
"lekin beta abhi aise vakt mai shaadi kaise?" Vivek asked him in perplexed.
"dad nanu ne kasam di thi muje aur Naina ko ki jo bhi hojaye hum Deepu aur Rohan ki shaadi zarur karvayenge,ab usse bhi tod nahi sakta bas zyada dhaamal masti nahi sare rasmo ke saath ek choti si shaadi karva denge dono ka.." Sameer said to which Vivek agreed.Sameer glanced at his mother who was still in trance. Vivek assured him through gestures that he would handle her.

Sameer was looking at the stars while Naina was worried for him.Since they heard the news of Nanu's accident he had not even cried once making her feel restless and concerned for him.She went towards him slipped herself into his embrace.Sameer gasped as he did not realise her presence.
"Staying strong is good but not till it hurts you." Naina mumbeled hugging him tighter.Sameer bit his lips to control his emotions and looked away.
"Aap dard chupane mai itne mahir ho.." Naina said cupping his face making him look at her.His eyes were filled with tears which threatened to flow.He moved back gently removing her hands and went to the bed lying facing his back towards Naina.Naina sighed as he was a tough nut to crack.
Naina laid beside him hugging his back.Saneer closed his eyes tight to prevent breaking down.
"Nanu is with us,in our hearts.I will never leave you Sameer.." Naina mumbeledas she tightened her grip on him.As he felt her sleeping soundly he turned back carefully so that he does not disturb her.He pulls her into his embrace as tears rolls down his cheeks.She was her solace,only solace as he could not show his family members how broken he was as he had to stay strong.He held her close to himself as she nuzzeled into his chest feeling his warmth.

DAYS PASSED. As Sameer had told the marriage rituals continued.It was the night before marriage function but nobody had a smile on their face.While Mamiji had plastered a fake mask of sadness on her face.Vishaka was not able to cope up her father's demise.Though Nanu was not her biological father but he had always cared for her more than her parents after their death in an accident.While Deepika and Rohan did all the rituals along with their partners.Vivek supported Sameer as he knew it was a tough time for all of them.Sameer had a mixed turmoil in his heart as he was totally broken down by Nanu's death but on the other hand he was happy for his dear siblings.Naina was always with him who understood him and consoled him whenever needed.
After the function people left while Sameer went to call someone.He returned back with a smile making Naina confused.
"kya hua apko?" Naina asked him in hushed voice.
"shant raho jaan,aaj shaam ko pata chal jayega.." He replied her with a smile and looked at the Nanu's photo that was hung on the wall.Naina looked at with a confused face.
"bhabhi.." Deepika called her Naina.
"Nanu maine promise kiya tha na ki mai sach dund kar rahunga,aaj hi yeh sab clear hojayega aur sabko sach pata chal jayega.." Sameer murmered to himself seeing the Nanu's photograph but unfortunately this was heard by Mamiji.
Sorry for the delay😔 but yaa lemme make one thing clear I will post DKD every Friday itself.
