Ricky's POV
I am heading to Salt Lake City Utah. I don't even want to go but my mom is making me. I am from New York ok like not Utah. My uncle Luke is I guess picking me up from the bus stop. Well I am here. I see a tall man waiting outside the bus. That's gotta be my uncle Luke. "Ricky?" Says Luke. "Luke" I say . "Ok so umm." I start following my uncle which leads to a diner. "so here's my diner" says Luke. "Mk i say. He leads me upstairs to a room."well here we are. "This is the room" he says. "That's my bed and that's your bed... for now" he says pointing to a small air mattress that was on the floor. "So it that all your stuff" asked Luke. "Yup" I say annoyed. "That's not a lot of stuff?". "Lynn Is sending more later." "Alright I have to go back to the diner I close up a 10:00 today". I grab a book and say "see you at 10 and walk out the door. I start to walk around and where in the world am I! This is not like New York!

~ a couple hours later~
"Carol invited us to a dinner today and we are going"said my uncle. "Ok whatever" I say . I meet carol earlier since she goes to my uncle lukes diner. We drive to carols house and knock. She greets us and then while we walk to the kitchen I spot a brown haired girl sitting on a chair.

Nini's POV
"Nini there here". My mom tells me. "Hey" I say to the curly headed boy . "Hey" he says . "I'm Nini". I say. "Yeah I figured". He says. "Nice to meet you" I say. I notice him looking at my book shelf. "Wow"he says." Oh I read a lot" I tell him. "Do you read?" I ask him. "Not much"he says looking at one of my books. "I can let you borrow that if you want". I tell him. "No thanks" he says. I notice him looking at my window. "So these open?" He asks . "Yeah you just have unlatch them". "Great, so shall we". "Umm shall we what." "Bail" he says. "No"I say. "Why?" he asks. " well today's Tuesday night in Salt lake everything is basically closed." "Well we can walk around" "look we just made a ton of great food and I'm starving m, it may not seem amazing at this moment but come on". I say. "It'll be fun trust me"I say. " I don't even know you". "Well don't i look trustworthy?" I say. "Mm maybe"he says. "Ok yay let's eat!". "Do want something to drink?" I ask. "No I'll get it he says."

Ricky's POV
I grab a drink and head outside to the porch .

Nini's POV
"Where's Ricky?" Asks my mom. "I don't know he said he was grabbing a soda" I say. He better of not left I thought to myself. We started looking for him when my mom spots him outside."

Ricky's POV
"Ricky come on we have really good food inside". "I don't really care I just want to stay out her". I say. " so your not hungry" carol asks. "Not really" i say . "Look I am guessing you don't want to be here". "Yup I say. "Like here in Salt Lake City". "mhm" I say
"Look your uncle is trying his best to welcome you her to salt lake and you are -!". "Why don't you just mind you own business" I
Say. "Also can you just not-". "Excuse me this is my house and I choose how I get talked to in it!" She says. "Well you dont know anything about me, or my life or my mom or Luke! So why don't you talk to someone else. "I am going inside!" She says.

~ The next day~
"Ricky look i know you dont want
To be here but get used to it says my uncle. "How! "You took me away from my home,my friends and now you want what from me!" "I am trying to help you Ricky!". "Well just stop trying!" We start walking and we'll my uncle pushes me in the lake!
~later that day~
I went walking around Salt Lake City down town. I run into Nini who was walking out of the book store. "Hey"I tell her. "Hi"she says. "What are you doing out here." "I needed
Some things for school." "How about you she says. "Mm oh yeah um same thing ".so you disappeared at dinner". "Well potluck ain't my thing". "So what are you doing now". "I have some homework to do". "Mm ok" i hand her the book she offered to let me borrow. "You bought a copy I told you that you can borrow mine!" "It is yours"he says. "You stole my book!" She said with a small smile. "No i just borrowed it." "I just needed to add some margins in it". "What she says with a smile.. she looks in the book. "you've read this book before!" "About 40 times" I say."I thought you said you didn't read much" she says smiling. "What is much?"I say . "Night Nini". "Goodnight theif" She says. "Theif?" Figure it out she says with a smile. I smile.

Ahh Hii! Here is that first chapter what do you all think of Ricky! Haha since this is inspired by Gilmore girls on Jess and Rory's relationship I did change some little things if you have watched the show and are wondering.
