"Wake up, love." Someone shook me awake.

I opened one eye to see Nadia, the caretaker and the owner of the house.

"Someone's here to see you." She smiled, sweetly.

I stood up and held her hand as she led me to the bathroom, so I could get dressed.

"Are they nice?" I asked her as I brushed my teeth.

"He's really nice." She said, taking my hair out so she could fix it.

"Did you and Symere go to the mall yesterday?" She asked. I nodded.

"What'd you get?" She sprayed my hair.

"A dress." I told her, nonchalantly.

"Are you ready?" She asked, extending her hand.

"Mhm." I held her hand.

She led me to her office and in the chair in front of her desk, was the man from the mall.

"Jahseh, this is Stokeley and he's interested in adopting you." She smiled. "I'm gonna let y'all get to know each other." She said before exiting, closing the door behind her.

I looked all over the room, admiring the pictures of the littles.

"So...how old are you?" He asked.

"21." I mumbled.

"Headspace?" 

"3" I responded.

"Are you allergic to anything?" 

I shook my head.

"Likes?"

"Candy, plushies, onesies, disney movies, coloring books and the park." 

"Dislikes?" 

"Naps, diapers, punishments and scary movies." I said, causing him to smile, slightly.

We talked for a little bit longer until Nadia came back in.

"So, how'd it go?" She asked, excitedly.

"I like him." He smiled at me.

"Okay, Jahseh?" They both looked at me.

I nodded.

"Is it settled?" She looked at him. He nodded.

"Okay Mr Goulbourne, I need you to sign right here." She handed him a paper.

He read it before signing it.

"Ight, here." He handed her the paper. She looked at me happily.

"I'm gonna miss you." She hugged me.

"So you're really leaving?" Symere asked, sadly.

"Yeah." I sighed, looking down.

"I'll miss you." He said, before jumping on top of me.

"I can visit you right?" He asked, hugging me.

"Of course." I smiled.

"Okay good. Now go before I start crying." He let go of me and pushed me towards the door.

I walked out and saw Stokeley standing in the hallway, on his phone.

He looked up at me and put his phone in his pocket. "Ready?" He asked.

I nodded.

He extended his hand and I grabbed it, holding it tightly.

We walked outside and he led me to his car.

"Wow." I looked at it in amusement.

"You like it?" He asked.

"It's really nice." I looked up at him.

He opened one of the back row doors and helped me get in before closing it and walking to the driver's seat.

"Do you want anything before we go home?" He looked back at me.

"No thanks." I shook my head, playing with the bear Symere gave me.

He seemed nice, nicer than Kimetrius when we first met.

Hopefully, he'd stay like that.

I just scratched the inside of my ear and now it's bleeding 😔
