Here's the thing about Alvin High School: the teachers are usually nice and don't assign much homework. Or homework that is very hard.

Or, at least, usually.

Over the weekends there would be an extra amount of homework that literally always killed me. Especially because it was hard to concentrate with the loud screaming outside my room.

Thanks, dad.

Usually, I would also ask Jerry for homework help.

That wouldn't work tonight. Jerry was out on a date. With Mindy.

At least he wasn't on a date with Harmony.

Usually, I would spend the weekend at Jerry's house. His house was nice, his parents were nice, he was nice.

He wasn't home. It would be sort of awkward for me to be at his home with his parents.

Let me rephrase that. It would be super awkward.

When the screaming literally got so loud that my head was hurting, I completely gave up. I opened my window and climbed down the tree next to my window. I was now in the streets.

I guess I'll just walk around and come back later. Get some fresh air.

I decided to go to the patch of grass I had spent the night at a few days ago. It was about eight, and it was starting to get cold and a bit chilly.

But the place was quiet. I put my hands in my pockets and walked around.

I wandered around. I heard crying and turned around.

There on a bench was a girl in a hoodie. I walked closer.

Skarg.

I wanted, more than anything, to avoid her.

It seemed inevitable for me to run into her everywhere I go.

And yet

So many memories.

Tears splashed down her eyes...

"Liam!"

I sat down.

"Harmony?"
