The next day Liara flies out to New York. When Isaac is at work Liara studies and prepares for her new movie. For the next three weeks they make the most of every free moment they have with each other to prepare themselves for their upcoming separation.

The final day before Liara has to leave they're invited over for dinner at Jordan's house. Liara was under the impression that it was that it was a goodbye dinner but what Isaac didnt tell her that it's actually a for his mother's birthday.

A half hour drive later Liara and Isaac arrive at Jordan's house.

Hey little brother! I see you brought the princess.

Liara rolls her eyes at Jordan's comment.

Are you really going to call me that the entire evening?

Nah, I'm just having a bit of fun.

What about the birthday girl Jordan?

She's in the kitchen, she told me that there was no way that she would let me cook.

Liara is of course very confused.

Birthday girl... you guys want to fill me in?

Isaac grins at her.

Oh yeah. I guess I forgot to tell you, we're here for my mom's birthday.

You forgot?!?!?

Surprise? Maybe I took things a little far.

You think! This was Jordan's idea wasn't it?

No, I can't take credit for this one but I wish I could.

Liara shakes her head.

Now I'm finally starting to see that you two are brothers.

No... a little bit, I would have liked a heads up though.

They make their way inside and are greeted by Isaac's mother and he gives her a hug.

Jordan pats Liara on the shoulder.

No need to be so formal, she knows who you are.

I used to take Isaac to your movies when he was younger, he had such a crush on you!

Isaac goes red in the face.

Liara puts her hand over Isaac's mouth.

Let her finish, time for some payback.

He thought it would be funny to not tell me that you would be here.

Valery has a surprised look on her face.
