Chapter 12: Crisis management.

Hours later Isaac arrives at the hospital and Gina is waiting for him at the entrance.

Isaac, over here!

How is she doing?

She broke her arm pretty badly, they had to put a plate in to hold it together. Luckily the surgery went well and she's resting in her room, follow me.

They arrive at the room.

Go in, I'll keep an eye on you stuff.

Isaac goes inside and Liara is sleeping. He takes a seat on the side of her bed and strokes the side of her face which prompts Liara to slowly wake up.

Gina?

She's outside.

The sound of Isaac's voice instantly wakes Liara up.

Are you really here?

Nothing was going to be able to stop me from coming.

This is not what I wanted our reunion to be like.

Isaac smiles and shakes his head.

At least you didn't break your sense of humor.

Liara laughs with a look of pain on her face.

Don't make me laugh it hurts.

Isaac picks up Liara's hand and kisses it while holding back tears.

I'm so glad you're ok.

Are you crying?

When you get a phone call that the love of your life has been in an accident it's a lot to handle...

Everything is going to be fine.

I'm the one who is supposed to say that to you.

In a relationship you help each other when needed, that's why we're so good together.

Isaac laughs.

I can't believe you're using my own words against me.

What can I say? When you're right, you're right.

Have I told you how amazing you are?

You have, but feel free to keep telling me.

Liara yawns.

You should get some rest.

Will you hold me until I fall asleep?

Of course, but how do I do that without hurting you?

As long as you stick to my right side it should be fine.

Isaac sits next to Liara and she nestles herself against him.

Oh, one last thing. Could you call my parents and let them know what happened?

Are you serious?!

You owe me one for not telling me about your mom's birthday, remember? And Gina was too stressed in all the chaos and I didn't want to put any more pressure on her.

Fine... but only because you look cute with your new blonde hair.

I hate it, I only did it because Fenton kept insisting. I'm changing it back as soon as I can.

How about blue to match the bruises?

You are terrible...

That's for making me call you parents.
