As you can tell this is the second book of Spirit! If you have not read Spirit, go and do that before reading Spark, if you wanted to you could go without but you will be confused with Spirit's plotlines but may be able to keep up with Spark's. Though it is Spark's name in the title. This is still very much's Spirit's story!
