MOUNT JUSTICE
March 19, 11:42 EDT

"They're both gonna wind up our responsibility, aren't they?" Mal said as he, Spirit, Superboy, Spark, and Nightwing looked up at two images. One of the original Roy Harper, who was found by Red Arrow just a couple of weeks, and the other of Bart Allen, as known as Impulse.

"Not necessarily." Nightwing said, turning around to face them, "Bart, Impulse, is staying with Jay and Joan Garrick in Central City. Roy, the original Speedy is recuperating at Royal-Memorial Hospital in Star City. Arrows, Green, and Red are watching over him."

"Mm-hmm. They're both gonna wind up our responsibility."

"Doesn't everything?" Superboy agrees with Mal, both he gestures towards Spark. "I'm surprised we haven't gotten stuck with those other kids that got powers alongside Spark, back in September." Spark narrowed her eyes at the boy of steel.

"You don't need to worry about them," Spirit assured her friend. "Gale, Phoenix, and I have a close eye on them all."

"I mean where are we on identifying the Light's new partner?" Superboy looked at Nightwing after he nods at Spirit.

Nightwing sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose, before saying. "No progress."

Ms. Martian and La'gaan come into the mission room, with the former giggling while La'gaan was eating crab cakes. "La'gaan, don't eat so fast."

"I can't help it, Angelfish," La'gaan told her, as he kept on eating the crab cakes. Spark narrowed her eyes at the couple, she doesn't understand the point of displaying your relationship for everyone to see, why rub it in people's face. What was the point? Nightwing and Spirit didn't do that, Spark sometime's forgotten that the duo was together, it confused her a great deal as well. "The idea of cooking crabs is amazing enough. But making them into little cakes?"

"Oh, you're gonna choke." Ms. Martian laughed.

"I wish I would," Spark muttered to herself, crossing her arms, Spirit nudged Spark harshly, glaring at her.

"Here... let me." Ms. Martian grabbed one of the cakes and fed it to her boyfriend.

Spark made a face and looked at Spirit. "You're not this annoying."

"Not every couple is the same," Spirit whispered down to her cousin, ignoring what La'gaan was saying to Superboy. "You will understand that when you're older."

"The same way you will finally figure out what Thorium is?" Spark whispered back with a retort.

"Touche."

"Recognized Artemis B-0-8" The computer spoke, causing Spirit's eyes to widen with excitement.

"Time for the briefing," Nightwing told them, but Spirit didn't listen to a word he just said, as she zooms over to her friend.

"Artemis!" Both Spirit and Ms. Martian exclaimed. Spirit pulled her friend into a tight hug.

"Hi, Marie!" Artemis hugged her back quickly, and then pulled away to get Ms. Martian a hug as well. "M'gann!"

"How's Wally?" Ms. Martian questioned their friend.

"He's Wally," Artemis answered, and the three girls laughed.

"Nevermind that loser! How are you!?" Spirit asked, with a wide grin. "How's college! What's it like, I could never willingly keep going to school for another four years, and expect to pay for it. Oh! Do you go to college parties? Is everyone there like super smart? Is it just like the movies?"

Artemis laughed at the younger girl, "You haven't changed have you?"

"Never." Spirit grinned.
