MOUNT JUSTICE
March 23; 20:58 EDT"Are you insane!" Spirit scolded Spark. It has been only a day since Alya, Aidan, James, and Dylan returned from space. Spirit told Spark to meet her at Mount Justice so she could yell at her without sounding crazy to their neighbors.
"I understand you're upset, but Uncle Hal wasn't that angry with me." Spark held her hand in surrender.
"No, you don't understand!" Spirit snapped. "You don't understand how I have been going crazy the past day, having literally no idea where the hell you were! And you... you don't understand how much trouble you could have been in. You brought three civilians to space! It doesn't matter if they had powers, it doesn't change the fact that they are civilians! And don't you dare bring Hal into this! Because we both know that he went easy on you because he feels guilty! I just can't--" Spirit shook her head, looking away from her cousin. "I just can't believe that you would do this, even after everything that was happening. Even with what happened with Artemis. Everyone was mourning and my selfish cousin, was like I'm going to run away to another planet! And give Spirit a heart attack!"
Spark's eyes well up with tears as she hears the word selfish come out from her cousin's mouth, Spark looked down at the floor with shame. "I'm sorry," Spark said softly, her voice slightly cracking. "Y-you didn't answer y-your phone, a-and e-even though I had talked to James. I wanted to talk to Uncle Hal, everything was just eating me up inside. I wanted to do something to get my mind off everything, and I really wanted to talk to Hal, and I just thought that going to Uni would get his attention."
Spirit sighed rubbing her hand down her face, "Okay..."
"Okay?" Spark's eyes snapped up at her cousin with surprise. "Like no more yelling okay? No punishments?"
"Yes." Spirit lets out a exhale. "I think you got enough trouble at school with your two-week suspension and everything. I still don't understand what's the point of giving you suspension though... it's like they said, hey these kids sneaked off-campus and skipped classes, let's punish them by making them go back home, off-campus without having to go to classes... like does that sound like a punishment or a reward."
"Well, the campus is Dylan's home so no change there," Spark said with a hum. "Aidan probably babysitting his several cousins, and James is not having a vacation. And me I'm probably going to get stuck with more missions than usual."
"Usually when the younger members get in trouble with school, we don't allow them to go on missions until they figure everything out with school and their back on track," Spirit told her as they enter the main room where Nightwing was. "Though I don't think that's much of a punishment more than just giving you back the time you need to get everything back on track."
"Recognized Blue Beetle, B-2-3, Impulse, B-2-5" The computer announced the arrival of the two junior members before Spark could reply to her cousin.
"Ha Ha. Left them in the dust." Impulse exclaimed as he holds up a device in his hand. Spark glances at Spirit, who was making her way over to the younger heroes with Nightwing.
"Left who in the dust?" Nightwing questioned them. "And what is that?"
"Souvenir."
"Souvenirs are Beast Boy's things, ese" Blue Beetle corrects the newest member of the team.
"Oh really? I thought it was Kid Flash--"
"Can we get to it?" Nightwing interrupts the two of them.
"Sorry. Aqualad attacked us with Icicle Jr., The Terror Twins, Earthquake, and a ninja girl I didn't recognize." Blue Beetle explained to Nightwing.
