Max walked up towards the duel field with little energy and with his face pointed at the ground, as if his world had come crumbling down. Kevin Tewart was there waiting for him.
"I DON'T BELIEVE IT!! WOW!! DID KEVIN TEWART REALLY CALL MAX, "MAX TEWART"???!! WOW!! WHAT AN UNEXPECTED TURN OF EVENTS!! WOW!! WOW!!"
Max was moving slowly and was about halfway to the duel field.
-...Come on, my son. Show a little motivation! The whole crowd is pumped up for the final duel of this round!!
The crowd cheered loudly. Max showed no emotion, but you could tell he wanted to be anywhere but here.
Why...?
Max thought to himself. He finally made it into position.
"FINALLY!! WOW!! THOUGHT HE WOULD GET THERE NEXT WEEK!! WOW!! KEVIN AND MAX SHOW THESE PEOPLE, AND OF COURSE ME, HART CARDERO, A GOOD SHOW, OKAY?!! WOW!! DO IT!! WOW!!"
-Since my son, Max Tewart, seems to be feeling a little under the weather...For our duel, I shall start with 4000 life points instead of the traditional 8000. Consider it just a fatherly gesture.
Max gritted his teeth as if to burst out in anger but swallowed it quickly and went back to being cold and silent. Kevin was mocking him.

Both players drew five cards to begin.
-Max, my son. I'll let you go first.
Max made eye contact with Kevin for a moment, then looked down at his cards. Max usually would hold his duel disk weilding arm up high for his duels but now he had his arms slumped down.
-What are you waiting for?
Max picked two cards from his hand, placed one face down onto a monster zone and set the other face down in the spell and trap zone, then let his arms fall back down once again.
-Hmm? All done? My turn then, I draw!!
Kevin scanned his hand and smirked.
-Well, well, well...I appeared to have bricked. I end my turn.
Max's left eye twitched slightly. Max knew Kevin was just mocking him further but it still did not motivate him. Max drew a card and placed it in his hand without looking, then resumed to do nothing.
-Very well. If you won't do a thing, then I will! My turn, I draw! I'll start by summoning Graff! One of the Malebranche of the Burning Abyss!

Kevin chose a Graff which was already in his hand, showing he didn't brick at all.
-Next, another Malebranche, I'll special summon Scram!

-See, the Malebranche of the Burning Abyss are special...My own creation! They each have the power to summon themselves or use their individual effects when they are sent to the graveyard...But each can only do one of these things per turn and only once that turn...That makes them balanced that way!!
Max still did nothing.
-Fine...Let me show you what else they can do! I overlay level 3 Graff and Scram! Xyz Summon! Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss!!!
