“Damn it, Dan, I don’t know how you managed to get batter on the fucking ceiling.” Sam complained, crawling onto the counter to wipe up the mess we had managed to make.

“I got excited when I saw you had an electric mixer.” Dan said sheepishly as he handed her a sponge. “At least I didn’t dye your friend rainbow.”

“Yeah, Phil. At least he didn’t do that.” I teased the blue eyed boy, flashing my red and yellow hands at him. “It’s all over my face isn’t it?”

“You’re definitely rainbow. It’s a nice shade of pink though.” Lauren said as she got a good look at me. “And don’t act so innocent, you started the little color war, Nikki.” She began wiping at my face with a wet towel. “See? It’s coming off, you’ll be fine.”

“Can I have a face wipe or something?” Phil asked “And some help getting all this stuff off…”

I rolled my eyes and led him off to our bathroom, shutting the door behind us as I ruffled through the cabinet for my face wipes. “Oh, Phil, look at us.” I laughed once I caught sight of the two of us in the mirror. Our faces were splashed with all the colors of ROYGBIV, making us look like some strange alien versions of ourselves. It had started off as an accident. I was trying to add red into the batter, but it wouldn’t come out and I accidentally squirted some right in Phil’s face. He reacted as any normal human being would and promptly stuck blue food coloring on my nose. This then escalated to a full out color war that our friends had been too amused by to stop.

“At least it’ll look good in the video.” Phil chuckled, taking a wipe from the package. “You wear rainbows rather well, Little Intern.”

“So do you, Philip.” I reached up to get the red off his forehead, but found myself a bit short. I frowned then took a seat on the counter, effectively giving me a much better height. “Your phangirls will kill me if I’ve permanently dyed your face.” I joked, using my leg to pull him a bit closer as I wiped his face.

Phil’s lips twitched into a smile. “And what about your followers? Will they kill me?” he asked, gently scrubbing the yellow off my chin.

“My followers don’t care too much about me.” I laughed. “They all like Lauren because she’s super sweet and Gia because she’s hilarious and Sam because she’s practically the leader…but I’m just kind of there screwing things up. And let’s be honest, they’re all so gorgeous and-“His lips pressed against mine, effectively stopping my self-destructive babble.

“I don’t want to hear any of that.” Phil whispered, his blue eyes meeting mine. “You are all wonderful and unique. Maybe Lauren is sweet and Gia funny and Sam your leader, but you are just as important, Nikki. The videos wouldn’t be the same without you. And for the record, you are just as gorgeous…if not more.” He pecked my lips again.

“Are you even real?” I laughed “You’re too perfect.” I blushed and looked away for a moment before returning to cleaning Phil’s face off.

“I’m not perfect.” Phil broke the silence “If I was, I would’ve made sure our first kiss wasn’t in a bathroom.” My smile grew like ther  chesire cat’s, my hand flying up to cover my mouth as I cracked up. Phil grinned and cracked up with me, his head pressing against my shoulder as he tried to contain himself.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“Phil, Nikki, are you alright? You’ve been in there awhile.” Dan called.

“We’re good.” I reached over Phil and opened the door. “We could use some help though, we keep cracking up.”

“Jesus Christ, I’ve got this.” Gia said, taking the wipe away from Phil and getting the dye off of me in under a minute. As I stared at the mirror in amazement Gia just shrugged and began cleaning off Phil. “When you’re an artist you learn how to get color off yourself pretty quickly.” She explained, making Phil sit down on the closed toilet so she had a better angle.
