Sitting at a vantage point of Beacon Hills, I wait for Allison to meet me. I found this spot after my parents died and it became a place for me to get away. Even Scott and Stiles didn't know about my safe haven.
I haven't been here since the night before Scott was turned, but being here now made me realize how much I missed the silence and the glittering lights illuminating from the town and I want Allison to enjoy it too. I also really need to speak to her after everything that happened at school.
I look down—pulling out my phone from my pocket—and push the power button, opening the lock screen that reads 9:00 pm, causing me to sigh. She should be here by now.
I glance down at the narrow roads that exit the town, but it's so dark and too far away for me to see anything besides blobs of, what I assume are headlights, coming and going. I really wish I knew if Allison was one of them.
I fall back on a blue and black striped blanket that I had laid on the grass ten minutes ago and stare up at the trees, trying to see the stars being hidden by their green leaves.
After a few seconds, I give up and close my eyes, but I instantly sit up and groan as I feel a sharp pain inside my head, causing me to shut my eyes even tighter.
The pain subsides soon enough and I slowly open my eyes and rub my temple. What the hell was that? I shake it off and continue to stare at the blobs of light on the road until something very weird happens.
My vision suddenly zooms in like a scope aiming for its target, allowing me to see the cars. Not only can I just make out what the vehicles look like, but I can see everything in great detail. Like the ashes falling off of a cigarette as a young brown haired woman with a nervous expression thumps the butt out the window with her thumb.
My eyes quickly snap to the next car, showing a man and a woman arguing in the front seat of a red Honda Civic while two kids fight over an apple juice box in the back.
I suddenly have an idea as my eyes jump from one car to the next, scanning the road for a blue Mazda, until actually landing on one.
I squint, seeing Allison nervously tapping on the steering wheel with her thumb as she glances to the radio before looking at the road again. I see her say something but I can't hear any of the words as my vision begins to become weaker, until finally returning to normal.
That's different.

After a few minutes, I begin to hear the sound of twigs breaking causing me to turn, seeing Allison jogging towards me.
"I'm so sorry I'm late. I was leaving and then Gerard stopped me and went on this whole rant about trust and... I'm sorry." Allison explains, still trying to catch her breath.
I chuckle. "Hey, it's okay, really."
She sends me a small smile. "I'm just glad you're still here."
"I think you'd have a tougher time trying to get me to leave." I look out to the lights coming from the town. "Come on."
I walk her over to the blanket as we both lay down.
"I wish I could just fall asleep in your arms." Allison tells me as she places a hand on my chest.
"Me too. Though your family would probably kill me if you didn't come home."
Allison doesn't react as she looks up at me.
"Wesley?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay?"
I look down at her with a confused expression. "What do you mean?"
She sighs. "Well, it's just, you've been acting so weird lately. Like when you walked into school today. It was like the moment you saw me you tried to hide. Is something wrong?"
