Stepping up to the Argent's front door, I knock before shoving my hands into the pockets of my pants. The door swings open, causing a smile to grow on my face before it lowers as Mrs. Argent stands in front of me.
"Uh, hi Mrs. Argent." My lips stretch into a polite smile. "Is Allison home?"
"She is."
There's a moment of awkward silence as she just holds the side of the door, observing me with her intimidating features.
I scratch my neck as my eyes wander towards the ground and back up to the red-haired woman. "Can, uh, can I see her?"
A small smirk appears on her face, most likely finding my anxiety amusing. "Wesley, I don't think that's going to be acceptable anymore. Her father and I have decided that you are just too close to Scott and... well, the supernatural. How long is it before you become one yourself, hm?"
I mentally scoff, she wouldn't have to wait long. I say nothing as she continues speaking.
"I- We think you're simply just a dangerous influence on her."
This time I actually scoff. "A dangerous influence? With all due respect, Mrs. Argent, I think I'm the least you should worry about when it comes to your daughter."
"Listen, Wesley." She snaps before collecting her cool, "You are not to contact Allison again. Trust me, we'll know if you try. Are we clear?"
"Yeah. We're clear." She gives me a faux smile before shutting the door in my face.
I stand there silently for a moment before turning and shuffling back to Sarah's car, but something rolls towards me, hitting the back of my heel. I quickly turn around, noticing a softball with a folded note attached by a rubber band sitting between my shoes. I glance up at the house before picking up the yellow ball and reading the note.
Meet at Lookout Point in thirty minutes. -A
I slip into the driver's seat and reread Allison's scribbled but neatly written words before twisting the key into the ignition, causing the engine to come alive as I pull out of the driveway and towards Lookout Point. After exactly thirty-two minutes, Allison's Mazda slows to a stop next to me.
I get out of my car as Allison does the same. We meet in the middle before walking towards the cliff. "So... what are we going to do now?"
"The same as we always have. You're my boyfriend, neither of them can change that." Her words cause the corners of my mouth to twitch upwards.
"It's going to be hard, though. This means no more good morning texts." I tease, making her pout, though her honey eyes beam at me. "And no more random I love you's, or public affection."
"Yeah, well, you've never liked PDA anyway." She counters, slightly bumping me as we reach the edge. "I just don't understand why they would do this. I mean, Dad mentioned something about it the other night, but I didn't think he'd actually let it happen. Wes, you're practically harmless."
"Your mom said it was because I was "too close to the supernatural." Are you really sure this is going to end well? I mean, you literally told me that your mother said she'd kill Scott if she saw you with him."
Her confidence falters as well after that statement. "Yeah, but I'm pretty sure she's just bluffing. I mean, he hasn't hurt anyone. Plus, you're not a werewolf."
"Yeah, but I'm... something."
"I'm not supposed to talk to Scott, but I see him practically every day. We're gonna be fine, I promise." She reassures.
Allison turns to me—a bright, comforting smile gracing her face, making me feel slightly better. I soak in every single feature as the sun shines into her eyes, mimicking a pool of honey. I then trail to her soft, pink lips, knowing that this would become a rarity from now on. The milliseconds feel like minutes as I glance between her brown orbs and lips before gently leaning in. She does the same, causing my entire body to tingle as our lips finally meet.
