"Ugh." I groan as I sit against a tree a few feet away from the van, staring down at my phone.
I've been trying to figure out what to say to Allison for the past ten minutes. With her parents monitoring every message and call she receives, there's a pretty limited amount of what I want to say that I can actually send to her. I also just don't really know what to tell her.
Giving up, I stuff the phone into my pocket, push myself off of the brown leaves that litter the ground, and head back to the van. Edging closer to the doors, I hear Stiles talking to Jackson.
"Scales? Like a fish?"
"No, more like a reptile. Um, and, uh, your claws have this liquid that paralyzes people, and you have a tail." Stiles explains as I sit next to him, making him take his feet off of the opposite seats and slide over.
"I have a tail?" Jackson repeats, not believing a word coming out of Stiles' mouth.
Stiles nods, a playful tone to his voice. "Yeah, you have a tail."
Jackson glances between us with a blank expression on his face. "Can I use it to strangle one of you?"
"Have you ever seen Spider-Man?" I ask him, ignoring his violent comment.
Jackson rolls his eyes before answering. "Yes, idiot, I've seen Spider-Man."
"Well, you basically look like a Curt Connors wannabe." I say, causing a snort to escape from Stiles.
Jackson's head snaps to him as he looks at Stiles with indignation. "I don't know why you're laughing. After I get out of here, I'm prosecuting your sorry asses all the way to jail."
Stiles shakes his head. "God, you don't believe us? Alright, the night of the semi-final game, what did you do right after?"
I lean my head against the metal wall, feeling tired from all of Jackson's threats and name-calling as he answers Stiles. "I went home."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes, you moron." Jackson's voice raises as he continues with the original insults. "What the hell else would I do?"
"You attacked me and Derek in the school and trapped us in the pool. You also killed a mechanic—right in front of me, by the way. That was lovely.—And one of Argent's hunters. Oh, and last night, you tried to kill Danny." Stiles finishes with a smirk.
"Why would I want to kill my best friend?"
"We don't know, but if you haven't noticed, the third Powerpuff girl is away and on the case." I respond, mocking his term for the three of us.
"I'm definitely Blossom." Stiles comments, making both of us glare at him. "What? Scott's Buttercup and you're Bubbles."
"Maybe Buttercup should be trying to figure out how the hell he's going to pay for a lawyer when I take you three to court." Jackson threatens, causing veins to almost pop out from his forehead.
"Alright, well, tell me this. What happened to you on the night of the first full moon?" Stiles questions.
Jackson doesn't say anything for a few seconds as his eyes switch between mine and Stiles until he finally speaks. "Nothing. Nothing happened."
After a few seconds of more silence, Stiles pulls out Jackson's phone. "Well, I think it's time for me to send another text."
Stiles smirks as Jackson's jaw clenches. "Wesley, after you."
"Yeah, yeah."
I exit the vehicle with Stiles behind me as we make our way to the passenger side of the van. I lean against the car and watch as he begins typing to Mr. Whittemore.
