".... um, Ame were your eyes always black?" Germany asked.
"I don't feel like talking. I just wanna go to bed," America said. Germany nodded.
"Ok, fair enough. I think I'm gonna go call a ride home," Germany said. The countries exited the IKEA. There were already two ambulances waiting there. New Zealand and Sweden got in one, while the North America trio got in the other with Greenland.
*later*
The North America gang were chilling in the hospital with Greenland.
"Damn, my dad is gonna be pissed," Mexico said, looking at the stitches on his shoulder. America sighed.
"How do we talk our way out of this one?" America asked.
"I mean, can't we just tell him?" Canada said. America shrugged.
"Probably not, unless we want him to think we are more insane than he already believes we are," America said.
"And not to mention the fact he already wants you to move out-," Greenland added.
"Wait, WHAT?" Canada exclaimed.
"Oh shoot, you didn't know?" Greenland asked.
"Greenland, what the heck?!?" Mexico exclaimed. Suddenly, the doctor, who is Switzerland, knocked on the door.
"Your father's here, he'd like to speak to you privately," Switzerland said. America, Canada and Greenland exited the room and Spain entered. The three were sitting outside of the hospital room. Canada leaned closer to the door. He could here a loud intense argument going on in Spanish.
Canada could only speak English, French and a bit of Japanese. However, he knew what pendejo, cabrón, and pinche meant because Mexico yelled those things at America all the time. Other than that, he had no clue what they were saying. He looked over at America, who he knew spoke Spanish. America looked like he was feeling an array of emotions, but mostly guilt.
Suddenly, Spain left the room. He walked away without a word. The three went back in the room to see Mexico sitting there angrily with his arms crossed.
"So umm.... what's wrong?" Canada asked awkwardly.
"I'll be moving in with one of my siblings next week," Mexico said angrily.
"I mean, it's probably for the best...," America said.
"But we don't even have ghosts anymore! We're no longer in danger!" Mexico exclaimed.
"Well yeah... but don't you think just being around each other has proved to be hazardous?" America said.
"Since when were you the voice of reason?!?" Mexico exclaimed.
"Look, I don't want you guys to get hurt! Is that a bad thing?" America exclaimed.
"Ok, Ok, we can argue about this when we get home," Greenland said, "Visiting time is already over and it's getting late. We'll come pick you up tomorrow, ok?".
"Ok," Mexico said, still visibly devastated.
Later, on their way home, Greenland, America, and Canada stopped at McDonald's. They continued their drive home in anxious silence, just chewing on kinda unsalted fries. However, this wasn't the cause of their distress. All three of them hated the thought of Mexico leaving, especially since it was so sudden, but there wasn't much they could really do about it.
"So... we really have to figure out what we are supposed to tell UN... about the ghosts," Greenland said. America sighed.
"I'm going to tell the truth," America said.
"But... aren't they gonna put you in some sort of psychiatric hospital? There isn't really a believable way to tell someone you were haunted," Canada said.
"Well, to be fair, we have a lot of witnesses," Greenland said.
"I guess we'll see what happens," America said.
The next day, Mexico was busy packing all the things he had that weren't burnt in the fire. He packed up his clothes, some books, and small art pieces he had collected. He picked up his guitar that Canada and America got for him and admired the designs on it.
He put it down and looked at himself in the mirror sadly. Like, imagine a music video for a sad breakup song. But instead of a sad breakup, it's more of a 'forced to stop doing stupid sh*t with the boys' kind of thing. Mexico put on the jacket he stole from America. He looked at the flags embroidered on the sleeve. It was originally just an American flag, but when Mexico stole it he also put a Canadian flag and his own flag.
He smiled, remembering talking to Canada about getting matching jackets along with the lockets, and then Greenland commenting how it would make them look like an actual gang. Mexico walked down the stairs to see Canada and Greenland watching a movie. Pablo was also there, sitting on Greenland's head. Mexico sat on the couch next to them.
"Where's Ame?" Mexico asked. Canada sighed.
"He went to talk to UN with dad... I hope he comes back," Canada said.
"Ribbit," Pablo said.
"Don't be silly Pablo, I doubt you could break him out of a psychiatric hospital," Greenland said.
"Ribbit," Pablo said, challengingly.
"Calm down Pablo, I'm sure we won't need to break into any psychiatric hospitals anytime soon," Canada said. Mexico rolled his eyes.
"Jesus, it's like we want things to go wrong at this point," Mexico said. Suddenly, Canada got a call from Britain.
C: hey dad whats up?
B: your brother is in the hospital right now for a psychiatric assessment. He tried to explain what happened, but he just ended up making himself look crazy.
C: shoot... do you think they'll let him leave?
B: hopefully, although they have already been talking to me about finding a Mental hospital.
C: .....
B: Canada? Are you still there?
C: oh... Yep, just... um... Y'know what? I'm kinda busy right now... I'll call you later.
B: ok, bye
C: bye
Canada hung up the phone and looked at Mexico and Greenland.
"Saddle up boys, were breaking into a mental hospital!" Canada exclaimed. Greenland sighed.
"Aren't you guys tired?! Wasn't yesterday's ghost bullsh*t enough for you?!" Greenland exclaimed. Mexico shrugged and stood up.
"It's my last week living here, might as well make it worthwhile," Mexico said. Greenland groaned and stood up.
"I guess I should go too," Greenland said.
"Yay! But we're gonna have to wait until nighttime. We don't want to get caught!" Canada exclaimed. Greenland buried his head in his hands.
"Holy f*ck this is a terrible idea,"
