America walked out of the therapist's office feeling worn out yet refreshed at the same time. He got in the car where Greenland was waiting for him.
"How was it?" Greenland asked.
"Good! It felt nice to talk to someone, but it was a bit draining," America said.
"I know what'll cheer you up," Greenland said. Greenland took America to McDonald's to get some chicken macnuggets (I'm craving some macnuggs rn).
"Ohmygodiloveyoumomyourethebest," America said immediately when they pulled up to the drive through.
"I know, I know, I am the best," Greenland said. They ordered some food for themselves and the kids back at home and began to head back, but suddenly America asked Greenland to stop at the mall.
"What do you need at the mall?" Greenland asked.
"I'll only be in there for a few minutes!" America exclaimed. Greenland suddenly understood, and smiled at America.
"Are you getting one for Ali?" Greenland asked, absentmindedly clutching onto his locket. America smiled.
"It'll be a parting gift! To show him we love him!" America exclaimed. Greenland smiled.
"Sounds perfect," Greenland said. Once America placed his special order at the jewelry shop (and picked up some last second gifts for Mexico) he and Greenland headed back home. When they got there they saw Ali beating Canada and Mexico at Mario cart.
"D*MN IT! THREE IN A ROW?!" Mexico exclaimed. Ali looked like he was having the time of his life.
"CHICKEN NUGGETS!" America exclaimed, immediately being swarmed by Mexico and Canada.
"Chicken nuggets?" Ali asked.
"Yep! Try them, they're good!" America exclaimed, handing Ali a box of nuggies. Ali ate one and immediately fell in love, like he had done with every single food he ate so far.
"So, how was it? Y'know... therapy," Canada asked, trying not to sound to desperately curious because like there's definitely nothing going on with him and he definitely doesn't have anything he wants or needs to talk to a professional about... (That's a lie, and there is no shame in getting professional help when you need it).
"It was nice actually! I thought it'd be a bit long and torture like, but it actually went by really quick. It barely felt like an hour," America said. Canada nodded softly.
"Huh, good to know...," Canada said. Suddenly, Ali latched onto America in a hug.
"Hi?" America said, confused but not objecting to this interaction. America noticed Canada smiling mischievously, and he glared at him in a 'I don't know what you did but you can't break me' fashion.
"Canada told me you give hugs to show appreciation. I appreciate the chicken nuggets," Ali said sweetly. America smiled and hugged Ali back.
"I knew you would," America said. America suddenly noticed Mexico, who was staring at him intensely. "Umm... Mex? Are you ok?" America asked. Mexico seemed to snap out of his daze.
"Oh! Um... I'm fine, don't worry," Mexico said. America frowned, knowing Mexico wasn't telling the truth.
The trio and Ali hung out in the living room eating their nuggets and watching a Star War. Idk which one you figure it out.
"Hey... why is there a tree in your house?" Ali asked, pointing at the Christmas tree.
"Oh, that's a Christmas tree. You put it up to celebrate Christmas," America said.
"What's Christmas?" Ali asked.
"A special day where you eat food, get gifts and fall in love," Canada said, putting emphasis on the last part just to piss off his brother. America just laughed however, because he only felt a very wholesome platonic endearment to his new Alien bud.
