The trio were hanging out in the living room. Mexico was strumming random cords on his guitar, and America was plucking short tunes on his fiddle. Unfortunately, since one of his arms was in a cast still, he couldn't play anything. Canada sighed.

"I can't believe we lost the piano in the fire," Canada said. America sighed.

"I know... but you didn't play much anymore anyways," America said. Canada crossed his arms.

"Well maybe if I had a piano I could play more," Canada said. America shrugged.

"Ok. HEY MA!" America exclaimed.

"WHAT?" Greenland replied from upstairs.

"CAN WE GET A PIANO?"

"AS LONG AS YOU'RE THE ONES PAYING FOR IT,"

"OK THANK YOU,"

Greenland came downstairs.

"Why do you guys need a piano?" Greenland asked.

"So I can show off, Duh," Canada said. Greenland shrugged.

"That's fair. Let's head to the music store, I'll help you guys look," Greenland said. The trio sprung up. Mexico noticed Everest peeking out from a corner.

"Hey Eve," Mexico said gently, kneeling down towards her. She hesitantly walked towards Mexico and let him pet her. Mexico smiled sadly at the dog. He remembered Australia telling them how he had found Everest abandoned in the streets a few months ago. She was doing better, but still was a bit reclusive and easily startled. The quartet headed out to the music store, and Everest decided to get familiar with the house.

She walked in and out of all the rooms. She noticed that two of the bedrooms seemed a lot less decorated and full than the main bedroom. She wondered if the two rooms were only recently put into use. She was about to leave one of the bedrooms, but a sudden noise stopped her.

"Ribbit,"

Everest walked over to the source of the sound. It was a small clear box on top of a desk. She looked in the box and saw a small strange green blob. Everest stared at the blob in curiosity.

"Ribbit," the blob said, startling Everest. She ran underneath the bed and stayed there.

Pablo was confused. He was just trying to be nice and say hello, but the big fluff thing hid. Maybe it didn't understand what he said?

"Ribbit," Pablo said as nicely as he could. Everest slowly got out from under the bed and studied Pablo. She cautiously got close to the box and sniffed it. Once she got familiar with the smell, she tried her best to understand what she was looking at.

Tiny weird hairless puppy? Everest thought to herself.

"Ribbit," Pablo said, slightly annoyed. Everest blinked. She wasn't sure what 'ribbit' meant, but she could sense the irritation in his voice. Everest jumped up onto the bed. She circled around a few times, continuously glancingly Pablo, before laying down on the bed.

Interesting... this must be a peace ritual. Pablo thought to himself. Pablo hopped around his enclosure in a circle, before settling down and staring at Everest. Everest noticed this and perked her head up. She licked her nose, and after a few seconds, Pablo copied her actions. Everest jumped down off of the bed and stared at Pablo, who stared back. She leapt onto the bed, and Pablo leapt onto a rock in his enclosure. Everest growled at Pablo, who croaked back at her. Everest and Pablo seemed content with their conversation and spent the rest of the afternoon conversing thusly.

Meanwhile, Snowball was staring out the window.

"Whats wrong boy? Did you see something?" Antarctica asked, petting Snowball. Snowball had something on his mind. He remembered the other dog he scared under the couch. He felt bad. He really just wanted to say hi, but now that other dog probably thinks he's too scary.

Meanwhile, at the music store, they found a piano they liked and took it home.

"Dang, between the parking tickets, the destruction fine, the doggy and the piano, that's gotta be half of our life savings," America said. Mexico looked up in thought.

"What's the point of life savings when you're immortal? It's not like you're saving up for college or retirement," Mexico said.

"Oh yeah... you got a point," America said. The quartet put the piano down in the living room and Canada immediately started playing every meme song he remembered. Mexico joined him with his guitar, and since America's arm was still broken he just sat and listened. Canada got up to get Pablo.

"Pablo should hear me play! I'm sure he has a great appreciation for the arts!" Canada exclaimed. Canada walked up the stairs and went into his room, where he saw Everest and Pablo hanging out. Canada smiled.

"Hey guys! You getting along ok?" Canada asked.

"Ribbit," Pablo said. Canada laughed.

"That's great! I'm glad you both have a ritual now!" Canada exclaimed. Canada got Pablo and put him on his head. He went back to the piano, with Everest following him.

"Man, these past few days have been pretty uneventful," America said. Mexico shrugged.

"I mean, it's nice to have a bit of a break once in a while. Even for us," Mexico said. Greenland leaned against the archway leading into the entryway.

"Yep, but I think we are all anxiously waiting for you guys to be back on your bullsh*t," Greenland said. The trio laughed.

"I guess we'll see what happens,"
