'Should I open it or not '
Ein repeated it for the hundredth time. What if it contains something personal. What if Zem unknowingly left it in the book. Her mind went on testing her patience with a long list of what-ifs. The letter rested on the table peacefully.

Finally, she decided not to open and return it to its rightful owner. She packed up the book with the letter safely tucked inside it, into her bag. Made a mental note to return it after classes. Changed into a crop top and jeans paired it up with her favorite ankle-length boots.put on a long sleeve cardigan to cover her moon tattoo. She walked into the garage argued against herself and finally decided not to ride the car. though she owned a car, she preferred walking.

The streets were buzzing with people. Inhaling the breeze, admiring the leaves on the trees that danced with the wind, that lined the footpath. Someone in black clothing slammed into her, her bag fell off scattering its contents on the ground. He reeked of something like blood. she apologized to the person, began collecting her things, and continued walking. classes after vacation are the hardest, time flies so fast when you are relaxing.

The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans wafted from the cafes into her nose. Just it's smell is enough to make you feel awake. It replaced the unpleasant odor of that person. She moved through the people, helping out old grandma's, dancing to the roadside music, playing with the kids.she radiated happiness.

Her purse fell from her hands, she whirled to pick it up, the person in black was still behind her. He was clearly walking in the opposite direction when they slammed into each other. Maybe he is chasing you my mind let out. She moved in between buildings to reach her college quickly. she moved faster, still, she felt like being followed. She moved from the deserted alley into the footpath which was buzzing with people. Still, the person was following her, confirming that he was pursuing her she caught hold of a policeman near her and told him some creepy guy has been following her since earlier. Even though she had someone beside her now, the person continued walking towards her.

She scanned him closely, to her horror it was not a human.it had the body of a human and head of a wolf with red blood dripping eyes. Like the ones painted on the wall of ancient temples in Egypt.she felt weak in the knees.

" where is he, show me who has been shadowing you" the police once again asked.
She pointed at the creature. he looked through it without any expression. " where?" he inquired again, she pointed out once more .

"There is no one there" He was looking at her like she is nuts and murmured something like mad people wasting time. Which made it clear that he cannot see that creature. Was it her imagination? the creature was getting nearer.

She caught hold of another passerby and tried to show him, neither he was able to see it. People had crowded around, laughing at her. finally, she decided to take her chances and run. She crisscrossed and pushed through swarming groups of people. Turned into an alleyway to mislead him. Her luck deceived her, the back of the alley was closed due to construction.

The creature had reached the mouth of the alley. She looked around, for something she could hop on to reach the other side. nothing, just a blank dark alleyway. The creature started moving on her, she moved backward, till her back touched the wall.she was running out of ideas. The creature got nearer and nearer, by now she was sure no one will come to save her as it happens in movies.

The creature was now at a one-arm distance, its breath stinking of blood making her retch. It extended its hand towards her, she pulled her arm back and with her whole energy jumped and kicked him. It staggered back but it was not even injured a little bit. It came back at her like an angry bull. She used her arms to constantly box its face, nothing happened, which made her think what if it was half-human, so she aimed a kick in between its legs, it fell back.

Her mind was going on with the commentary like it was a boxing game Ein 4-3 Beast. The beast stood up again and came at her she dodged its attack, the creature missed her and hit on the wall. It fell unconscious on the floor, she kicked it several times so that it doesn't wake up any time soon. She smiled in victory. Hell with the patriarchal society, a woman can protect herself her mind applauded. Picked up her bag which was discarded on the floor and moved towards the alleyway,

Unexpectedly there was a movement from behind, she turned back, the creature had woken up and was standing behind her, she was not prepared for this. The creature extended its arm to strike her. She held her arms up automatically to protect herself from the coming blow. Suddenly her bag started to glow, a yellow light illuminated from it and fell on the creature. the creature screamed in agony, its eyes getting dilated and with a scream, it vanished into pure black smoke.

Someone chuckled from the shadows. She positioned her stance to fight off what was coming.

" I was waiting for you to spare me a chance to help you, but you handled it well yourself," a male voice said in a cool tone.

She screwed her eyes harder to make-out who it was, only his thin lips where illuminated which were pulled into a smirk.

"I was fighting with my life here, and you were enjoying the show weren't you," she asked irritated. " wait a minute, you can see that thing? No one was able to, what is that thing?" she bombarded him with questions.

He threw something on her, retreated through the shadows. She started to run behind him, stumbled on a stone, and fell face forward onto the ground. He chuckled once again.

" hey you, wait for me" Ein cried out. he walked away without even sparing a glance. She stood up, dusted her clothes, and picked up the things he threw. It was a bundle of bandages with a Hershey bar, a small paper in between them.

" chocolates are good for calming your nerves" was written in pretty cursive writing.
