BOOK OF LIFE

Tap tap.
Ein woke up startled from her nap. She had slept late yesterday, as it took time to silence down her mind. She looked at the bedside clock, it was already 12 o clock in the afternoon. How did the time fly so fast?

'Tap tap'
The knock on the door repeated. was it jay? She got up from the bed, strode towards the door, and pulled it open. The corridor was completely deserted. 'Tap tap' the knock came again. She looked around for the source. What was it making the sound? she pulled out her phone to check whether it was the source of the sound, no it was silent. She moved around the room.

'Tap tap' the sound repeated, oddly she felt like the sound was coming from her bag. She moves towards it, took out the things in it and waited for the sound to appear again.'tap tap'. As she had guessed, it was indeed from the book of aura. She moved backward and with the help of a pencil, she flipped it open. what if something like Aladdin comes out of it, nothing was odd, the book there silently mocking at her. What if it was a ticking bomb? She waited for the tap to come again.

She flipped the pages so fast to find where it was coming. The letter sat there calmly.she took the letter out.tap tap, the envelope moved up and down like a heart was beating inside it. she picked it up, as soon as her hands touched the letter, black threads started whirling on it which started to shift into words. Was this some kind of sorcery? to her surprise, the knock had ceased too.

The words formed read: 'to my precious child'. Maybe it was written by Adeline to Zem? but why would she write such a cheesy letter? should she open it or not? will Zem feel offended if she knows about it? Questions paraded through her head. Ultimately, she chose to open it and began to read through it. The contents were written in the exact elegant black handwriting.

My precious daughter,

The letter ended with that. Why would Zem's mother write a letter like this? Was she terminally ill? And why is she referring to Zem like she had last seen her when she was a little kid? nothing makes sense. It was referring to other letters, were there more? She shook the book, in case another letter tumbles out of it. Nothing.

She pulled out her phone.it was 1 in the afternoon. That's when she remembered results of the compatibility tests will come in the afternoon. She grabbed a bag threw the letter and the book into it, switched into jeans and a top, and moved downstairs. Took her Bugatti and drives off to the bookshop. Grabbed a sandwich on her way.

She parked in front of the library. Thankfully the bookshop was still there. Why was she not able to see the book shop at that time? She went inside, Zem was standing there expecting her. They hugged each other. She informed her that Aze had opened his eyes today and had conversed with them, hearing that she felt comforted inside .They made way towards the infirmary. Dr. Jane was inside they greeted each other.

"The results have come out, guess what you both are just made for each other.it is perfectly compatible" Dr Jane said with a wink,She was directed to sit on a chair near the bed. Dr reclined it into a lying position. Gave her a pressure ball and injected the needle into her arm, which was connected to a bag. After 10 minutes. Dr. Jane came back. Removed the needle and shifted her to a sofa which was adjusted near to the bed. It had depressions on it, which showed how one or the other were watching over him the full time. Family love is such a strong emotion she thought.

She sat on it, Zem came into the room with a bottle of juice and cake, instructed her to rest and left the room saying she had some things to look into. She drank the juice slowly, staring outside the window. Then she turned towards him. The pain she felt when she looked at him before was replaced by an unknown feeling now.

He looked so much handsome as the sunlight streaked through his face. She was never attracted to boys but she felt he was something special though this was her first time meeting him. What if he is a bad boy that will break your heart? Her mind asked. She looked away from his face. She could not afford any kind of romantic relationship now. She felt extremely tired.

Unknowingly she was pulled into the deep depths of sleep.
